Hi Appcr4sh, thank you for the reply. Is this the only game you are having issue with?
Do you often use alt tab to switch out of the game? Can I also ask if you are using any of the following programs when playing Siege -
Full Screen Game Overlays
RGB controllers
Overclocking Software
Hardware monitoring
Streaming software
Peer to Peer software
VPN
We advise disabling these on start up by performing a 'clean boot', as running this software whilst playing our games has been known to interfere with our games performance occasionally and audio input devices.
A more detailed list of the type of software, can be found here -
https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Faqs/000025721
To disable these applications from running in the background -
- Press the Windows key and S buttons on the keypad and search for Task Manager,
- Launch the app then navigate to the 'Start Up' programs tab
- Right click on any program or software that might be conflicting with the game such as the programs listed above and select 'Disable'
- Restart the computer then try launching the game from Uplay/Epic/Steam
Make sure to disable any programs or software that are not related to Microsoft or Rainbow Six Siege, restart your computer then launch the game.
Let me know how you get on after testing the game without these applications running then we can look at a few more things to try.
PS I would also make sure if you have any other audio devices such as a webcam with a microphone to make sure these are disabled in your WIndows sound settings temporarily.
