Hello!

Generally: my friend gave me a copy of his r6s files (he installed through steam), and when I tried to locate game in uplay (since I bought it in uplay store), I got an error telling me files are corrupted.

Any solutions?
Please, do not refer to downloading game from uplay, it's impossible in my case. I'm looking for exactly how to force uplay to locate steam downloaded game.
I've already tried to run uplay with admin privileges and renaming game folder, as it was suggested in steam thread of similar case.

Thanks in advance!

Hey @RexarUlik ,

It will be very unlikely that it will detect your files though as the game has not been installed on your PC, rather you just have the files saved. The 'Locate Installed game' feature is intended for when the game has been completely installed (via the wizard) elsewhere (such as Steam or Epic Games) and is not intended to use pre-existing files to install the game.

May we please know more as to why you're unable to install the game from Ubisoft Connect yourself? As my concern is any connectivity issues preventing you from being able to install the game may hinder you from being able to play once installed, given the game's online nature.
