[2020] Problems with the launch of R6S from steam

I bought Rainbow Six Seige yesterday and downloaded it over night but when i launched it today i had to make an Uplay account. This i had no problem with but my problems began when i had to enter a activation code. First i thought it was some sort of safety measure to keep my account safe with an extra code or something. But that didnt work so i googled it and it turned out i had to open up Uplay to see the code for each of the Ubisoft games i owned. But since i bought it from steam i couldnt see it on the Uplay website. I tried figuring out how to find the code on steam when i figured out you had to connect your steam and Uplay accounts. But i still dont know how to do that since there wasnt a options to do that when i first launched R6S. If anyone have had the same problem or know a way to fix it please help me
