I'm having an issue where if I open Rainbow Six it only shows a black screen, after around 15 seconds it crashes me to my desktop, I tried verifying my game files via steam and re-installed the game. My specs are as followed
Ryzen 5 2600
16GB DDR4
GTX 1660 TI
And currently running the game off my hard drive.

I tried to figure out how to fix it, the only thing I could find is issues with overclocking, both my GPU/CPU are at the stock clock speed. I am able to run other games (Crew 2, Grand Theft Auto, etc) Just fine with no issues. This only started after the latest update to R6.

Hey Gamer0856,

Thanks for reaching out, welcome to forums and I am sorry to hear about the issue you ran into.

Based on the specs you've provided, it appears that you do meet system requirements.

Would you be able to advise if you're playing using Vulkan or DX? Also, do you receive any error message when crash occurs?

In the meantime, if you haven't already, have a look at the steps outlined in the following article and see whether issue persists.

Keep us updated and should you have any questions, let us know!

Thanks for getting back to me Gamer0856!

In this particular instance, this does look like one of those cases where we will need to look into it a little further, therefore can I ask you to do the following:

1. Visit our support website, login to your account, select drop-down menu in the top right corner, click 'My cases' and select Case 12819912 that I have just created for you
2. Once there, can you please provide description of your issue as well as the steps you've completed already.
3. Additionally, can I ask you to provide us with your system files (DxDiag and MsInfo), which will allow us to get a better insight and see what may be causing the issue to occur

Once that's done, let us know and we will take it from there.

Should you have any questions in the meantime, let us know!

I like to use the vulkan version of the game but it started crashing as soon as a match started in the new season(shadow legacy). So, I had to shift to the DX version but now instead of the game crashing at the start of a match it freezes on the loading screen and then a black screen appears which crashes after a few seconds. At first i thought it might be my overclock but i've tried starting the game with default clock and everything with even the fans at default speeds, yet i face the same issue.
Hello there Dabi_hyper,

Have you attempted ay troubleshooting steps?

Particularly ensuring your 2080 is running the latest drivers?

If you're still having issues, please open a case on our Support Site and send over your system files.

DxDiag

We'd be more than happy to take a closer look!
