[2022] Please stop using Amazon Gamelift servers for R6.

Hello @atreus thank you for getting in touch with us and sharing your experience of your playtime on the MENA servers.

Our current server locations for Siege are as follows >>

east us / central us / south central us / west us
brazil south
north europe / west europe
south africa north
east asia / south east asia
australia east / australia southeast
japan east
uae north

Playfab servers allow players to manually change their server location from one of those in the list above, however, Amazon Gamelift servers will not allow players to make this regional change.

Can I just check that you are running the game with administrative rights so that your changes to the servers takes effect?

Just to confirm, if you are changing your Datacentre manually to another location, this will not work for any of our Gamelift servers. You are only able to change your regional datacentre if it is currently using a Playfab server, as per our datacentre changing guide > https://support.ubisoft.com/en-gb/Article/000060594

If you are trying to change your Gamelift server location, the guide above will not work, as this is currently not doable, we will however pass your feedback on about this server use to our Siege team.

We do not have any further updates on our servers at this time, as we intend to use a mixture of both Amazon Gamelift and Playfab servers for our Siege game. We have noted the feedback given in this thread however. I will move this thread to our General Discussion area now, as this is not a bug report but more a request from some of our players.
