Recently I have played a match where I lost a round because my operator (Montagne) coudln't shoot when he was meeleed in the shield. That's dumb, in my view. Shield operators are mostly unplayable without a full team, and with this feature, it's even worse. (You basically can't defend yourself!) I propose that in the TTS the playerbase could play without this feature, boosting the picks of the shield bois. In the end of the test period, we would see if the changes improved the gameplay or not, simple as that. Ty for your attention.

Do you feel the team wants to remove shields due to the recent ADS changes, or is there something else that makes you feel this way?

You do bring up some valid points. Shields are definitely in a different place now, and I'm not aware of any future changes, but that doesn't mean they aren't coming. Thanks to the feedback the community has been providing, they know the player base is frustrated with the current state of shields. I'll add this thread to my dev notes and we'll see what happens.
