Alright i redownloaded the game yesterday after a couple of years of not playing it. Now whenever i launch it i get either into the menu or a blue-ish screen with loads of text and a bar at the bottom saying they're trying to connect me to the rainbow six siege servers before it crashes. I've tried a bunch of fixes including verifying the game files and re-downloading it. One fix i could't try was to delete the pc file in the sounddata folder which supposibly fixes the issue however when i went to check the file i didn't actually have a folder called sounddata, no matter how many times i reinstalled the game or re-verify the game files the folder won't appear, at this point i'll try anything someone suggests to get it working however note that i've already tried just creating a file and verifying the game files to see if it would repair my custom sounddata file or smth like that. Im not an IT expert so please i just wanna play the damn game

I believe it's best to forget about the sounddata folder for the time being, as it doesn't seem to be related to your issue.
Here is our troubleshooting support article: https://support.ubisoft.com/Article/000061047
I'd like to suggest trying the following, of which can be found in the article above -
- Install Windows Updates
- Update video drivers
- Launch the game as admin: https://support.ubisoft.com/Article/000060505
- Disable background applications: https://support.ubisoft.com/Article/000063761
If you have a friend or family member who owns the game, see if they'd be willing to log in and try launching the game. That will help determine if it's a profile-specific issue.
Thank you!
