[2020] [Bug/Glitch]RTX 3090 Broken with Siege Operator Screen/fans stop working!

I left my pc on operator screen and my 3090 just did black screen. GPU overheated and black screen poped. What happend when i switch to operator screen my GPU fans dont spin at all but when im back into normal screen fan spin normaly. FIX THIS!!!!

I tried all drivers that support 3090. Lost almost 2 days with strees testing etc... then i returned back to siege to see and bum fans just stop spin on operator screen. I left my PC for 15minutes and black screen because of overheat. My GPUs work just fine on anything else and other games just this operator screen.

Tested gpu on 2 systems.

I have 2 gpus in system and tested them both in same scenario they both do that. On operator list screen fans stop spinning and i can hear insane coil whine (fps is 999) but switching back to any other screen like play, shop or customization all fine + i can play game without problems.

This never happend in Y5S3 with 3090 everything was fine.

This only happend on Y5S4 patch with same drivers. Using all latest drivers too with windows 10 fully updated. This is just a bug on 3090 ftw3 ultra to be more specific or maybe all 3090 models im not sure.

Can you please let us know what the 2nd GPU is that you're using?

Hi Sib3riX., thanks for getting back to us and updating us.

As you are the first person to bring this to our attention we will need to wait for more reports to come in from other players using the same 3090 GPU to see if this is affecting any other models other than just the EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra.

Have you tried the game in both DirectX versions and Vulkan versions and does the same behaviour happen? Would you also be able to screenshot us your Task Manager screen when selecting Operators to see if any other components are affected and what their performance is running at when your fans stop spinning?

I would also ask you to if you haven't already done so reach out to Nvidia about this too through this website to see if they are aware of this, as this may require a driver hotfix - https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/support/consumer/

No problem Sib3riX. hopefully another 3090 user will be able to share their experience. Please do try to test the game on Vulkan mode also. I can not stress enough though to also reach out to Nvidia as too in the meantime as I haven't heard any news about performance related issues with game with the 3090 series cards, only the 3080 founders edition cards up until this point.

It is worth asking as well, do you happen to be overclocking your GPU or CPU or running any overclocking software such as afterburner as we recommend not doing this when playing our games if you can and just using the base, out of the box specs of the graphics cards and CPU.

Hey Sib3riX., thanks for letting us know this I am sorry your other 3090 is affected by this also. If you could record a video of your fans stopping and when accessing the operator selection, this will be very welcome so that we can report this, the more information we can gather the better. Are you also able to screenshot your task manager performance tab when running the game too?

In the meantime I have went ahead and created a support case for you with a short description of the problem of overheating and black screen crashes. Your case number is 13563604

Hopefully one of our player support agents will be able to get back to you within 48 hours and suggest some troubleshooting, if nothing helps we can also push your case to our technical team to look at and make our devs aware of this issue through this method.
