I just saw the changes coming in year 5 and I Am like done with anything Ubisoft makes. You guys completely turned this game to something else. IT WAS US WHO SUPPORTED YOU DURING YOUR FIRST MONTHS OF RELEASE AND PLAYED YOUR GAME!!!!! WHY ARE YOU CHANGING IT TO A HERO SHOOTER BASED ON SOME UNEXPERIENCED PLAYERS IN PRO LICK FEEDBACK????

House is my top favourite map with Chalet and they are both getting a rework. WHAT THE HELL??? WHY? You wanna turn them both to another deathmatch design like you did with every other rework??? All the maps have lost their "Breach and Clear" identity which was the FIRST thing you showed in your first trailer with helicopter because of your ******* pro league. I never have seen a game that the community hates on its ESL scene so much like Siege because how much these guys ruined the game for the community...

Let me get something straight with you Ubishaft:
Siege was a deception from beginning of its reveal, you showed us something else in the reveal trailer which was a Cops vs Terrorist themed game and a "HOSTAGE" mission with helicopter entry.
During Alpha you showed "Operator ideas", during Beta and the first release of the game you promised "A new game mode EVERY season".
You promised more missions like Article 5 to keep the soul of original Rainbow Six.

What we got now?
Cops vs Cops
Hostage mode removed (which was the FIRST thing they revealed back in 2014)
Classic maps removal and later unwanted reworks
Recruit removal because it was a low choice for Pro-lick players
Unwanted pick and ban system, SERIOUSLY this one is unforgiven, you showed this to us as a "beta" during some seasons and EVERYONE's FEEDBACK was NEGATIVE why the hell you still added it to the game????? Same with AAA/DDD mode

Operation bloodorchid was the downfall of this game for me, I lost every single interest in it since then and then this AAA/DDD design which was what made this game a better game than CS because of round swap was removed as well...

We don't want "Unranked " play list or "Casual" play list, all we want is what you showed and what we bought in 2015. Just add a bloody game mode called "Classic" which features ONLY the original Operators and ONLY the classic maps without their rework and the same game mode A/D/A/D and can contain all 3 game modes Hostage/Bomb/Secure Area with selectable recruit. Is this too much???? You don't have to ADD anything for us all we want is to GIVE BACK what you removed from us!

Hey everyone. The team and I have been monitoring this thread for the past few days now.

I understand a bulk of you have been part of the R6 community for quite some time and are very passionate about the original R6 games. We acknowledge your efforts to share your love and frustrations around the R6 series. Siege has drastically evolved to something much larger than what the team imagined back in Alpha.
I know many of you are nostalgic for the older version of the game from Year 1. However, we believe the changes we’ve made in the past, and current changes, have been better suited for current gameplay requests from the overall community. Siege certainly would not be where it is today without previous decisions as well as community support, and the team does recognize that. We are still documenting ongoing discussions around these topics and sending them to the development team for visibility.

Currently, the overall goal for Siege is to align competitive and casual players. We want to better prepare players for a ranked experience, should they choose to go toward that area of play. These changes are part of a bigger plan in improving the overall Siege experience.

About the House rework specifically: We are not trying to make the map more “Ranked-worthy”. With this rework, we want to give the casual community new opportunities on a map that has stagnated slightly.
Regarding reworks in general, as we explained in our Map Rework Philosophy blog post, the point of map reworks is to make maps more player-friendly for all skill levels and ensure they are as balanced as possible. Reworks are also supposed to help tune the overall theme of a map. I understand that with the Oregon rework and some of the older reworks, many of you have expressed that parts of the theme of the map appear to have been removed. The goal when revamping themes is to make maps more visually pleasing, as well as fine-tuning the feel of the overall map. At Invitational, the team mentioned they are doing their best to make sure map reworks, including House, still capture the essence of the original design.

Regarding cheating, the team has been and continues to make strides to improve the anti-cheat system. We do not have any details to share publicly on this at this time, but the team does understand the frustrations of playing against or with cheaters. Thank you for your patience and support by submitting reports.

The team will continue to keep an eye on this thread as well as others in the forum. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to one of the moderators and we will try our best to answer your questions. We welcome all constructive feedback, like many of you have shared already, regarding any of the topics I’ve covered and more.

I definitely understand how you could feel this way. I think some people would agree and say that they feel that the approach to align competitive and casual is too one-sided. But as I had mentioned, the goal is to prepare players for Ranked if they so chose to play it, which does mean bringing some slight elements into Quick Match. I believe the House rework will be an example of preserving the casual feel.

I don't see any downsides to ADAD rotations since that makes new players also pratice each side more often instead of regular crushing matches that are 2-0, i understand these are not meant for ranked and fully agree with letting ranked be a different thing, i never asked ranked to be adjusted to my wishes so why can ranked players dictate how casual should be for themselves when they want to play ranked only?
Quick Match aims to give a more relaxed way to play Siege. Quick Match gives players the chance to play a match when they may not have the time for a full Ranked/Unranked match and features no abandonment penalties.
Unranked is a playlist to practice full Ranked matches without the MMR cap in place or MMR at risk. Quick Match does not feature Pick and Ban nor have the same map pool. The overall idea for the Unranked playlist was to give players with friends outside of the MMR cap a chance to play together under Ranked ruleset.

The intent with these changes was not to make it feel like "Ranked players are forcing the changes". Again, the overall goal is to bridge the gap between Quick Match and Unranked/Ranked.
Not every Ranked player only plays Ranked, much like not every Quick Match player plays only Quick Match. There are players who do specifically play only one of the modes, but the general community swaps between the playlists frequently.

While I personally agree that the ADAD rotation does feel like it gives a chance to play both sides more often, the problem lies in the fact new players are thinking under the ADAD mindset. Once they make the change to Ranked, it would be like mild whiplash.
Ideally, players should be getting exposure to both Attacking and Defending often with AA-DD. I think AA-DD gives players the chance to see what the other side is playing during round 1 and adjust their team comp for round 2. I understand that it is not always the case, and do see how the format can lead to more frequent steamrolls. However, since it is the nature of the game, players should be learning to adapt and overcome these odds. Part of curbing these seemingly unfair situations is map balancing.

I apologize if anything I mentioned isn't clear. Let me know if you have any further questions!

If the answer to that problem was not pulling unranked just a tiny bit away from ranked so less pressure was on and would ACTUALLY be used to let people get used to ranked to keep both extremes happy but instead pull casual closer closing the gap and cutting off everyone that was in there, I don't think that casual has any sort of priority and they legitimately want to get rid of people
I know the recent changes made to the mode have caught the community off-guard since none of it was on the TS before making its way to the live-build, and we're trying our best to get answers for you. We've been documenting all Casual thread and making the team consistently aware of how everyone feels about it because we know it's something you're all extremely passionate about, and we appreciate your willingness to be open about how you feel and the changes you want to see made on multiple threads daily/weekly.

Unfortunately at this time, I don't have any additional information to share which I know is disappointing to hear especially since so many of you feel that your requests for change aren't being acknowledged, however, UbiMorning and I are doing everything we can to make sure your voices are being heard.

I’d wager good money that the majority of these Siege 'fans' are both transplants from Fortnite/Call of Duty, have been playing less than a year or two and are less interested in 'improving' this game than they are terraforming it from the ground up to fit their demands
This is an interesting idea, I don't think I've seen this one around before. I know the forums and other forms of social media are how we get our feedback, but having some sort of survey system would be cool to help us know what percentage of players are looking for a certain type of change.
