I had bought rainbow six siege on steam not too long ago and was charged around 40 usd. When I tried launching the game it said that I needed an activation key and I thought maybe I was sent one to my email but I searched the whole thing and nothing do you mean to tell me your gonna make me spend 40 something dollars and then tell me I can’t play my game. Are you kidding me. Does anybody know how to help me because I refuse to pay another 15 dollars for a stupid activation key

Hello @Hoimanoi thanks for getting in touch with us about the launcher asking you for a key.

Our newer games and Steam/Epic purchases should automatically connect to your Ubisoft account and shouldn't ask you for a key. If you are being asked for a key, you may have one of the following issues >

  1. You may be running an outdated version of Ubisoft Connect. The new version can be downloaded here > https://ubi.li/4vxt9
  2. You have not created a Ubisoft Account yet, to do this please see this guide > https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/help/article/00007866
  3. You are logged into a different Ubisoft/Steam/Epic account, than the account the game was originally activated on.
  4. You may see a message that says "There was a problem authenticating the ownership of this product" message. This means you are using the wrong login details.

If you have checked the steps above and you and are still having issues accessing your game, please get in touch privately, using one of the following links >
