Hey guys, I've got a bit of an interesting issue here, and I'm just looking for some other possible solutions to try. My game has been crashing basically every match since I've switched to this computer, and I haven't been able to fix it. I opened a support ticket with Ubisoft around 3-4 weeks ago, and after jumping through the usual hoops of many repeat solutions amidst some new ones, my issue eventually got escalated and I've been waiting for an update for around 2 weeks. The wait doesn't concern me, although they have normally been pretty quick on the responses, but I just figured I should keep trying to resolve the issue while I await a response.

In terms of some specifics, the type of crash I experience can change depending on the "severity" of the crash, but I'll describe them in order of commonality. The most common crash I get is where my game freezes for a few seconds, during which I can still hear all the game sounds and my teammates talking in-game, and then my game closes, the Ubisoft Connect launcher asks if I would like to send a crash report, then it syncs and closes. Another pretty common crash is basically the same, except there is no Ubisoft Connect launcher crash report or sync, as it seems to have immediately closed as well. You may also note that the sync often fails, and I am forced to log back into Ubisoft Connect, which is quite annoying because it never remembers my login info or that my device is trusted and should not need 2FA. The least common type of crash, one that I've only experienced a handful of times out of my near 100 crashes: the game freezes, but the colors are all sort of messed up in black and white, and the sound is broken. After waiting a few seconds, I am brought back to my motherboard manufacturer screen, right before you boot into windows. The game managed to crash me out of windows! Note that the computer does not turn off or anything, and this type of catastrophic crash is really rare for me, but it still has happened.

I've really been trying to reproduce some of these crashes, but I haven't picked up on a pattern that explains them all. The least severe crash can happen after some change to the map, such as a distance ash charge/hard breach, but I can also experience those things and have the game not crash. It does not seem to matter what I have opened alongside the game, whether it be absolutely nothing or opera and discord both opened alongside the game. One thing that did crash the game almost immediately after I loaded in to a training grounds was running MSI Afterburner on what is a stable clock for every other game I've used it on, but I somewhat expected this and, I don't ever use Afterburner on siege. Most of my crashes only happen when I am playing multiplayer against other people, not in training grounds or an offline custom game. I can crash out of an online custom game, even if It's only against one other player. Running all max settings versus running all low settings only seems to affect my fps, not my frequency of crashes.

Some possible solutions that have not fixed the problem: update drivers, windows update, disable background/startup apps, make sure the game and steam are in the same drive, verify the integrity of the game files, uninstall and reinstall the game, uninstall and reinstall steam, repair system files, chkdsk both my OS and games drives, flush/refresh steam files, run everything concerned as administrator, reset hosts file, run both monitors on their native settings, run both monitors on the same settings, only use one monitor on its native settings, and anything else I haven't mentioned that can be found on the pc troubleshooting guide.

My game runs pretty smooth outside of the crashes, but I'm going to include my system specs in case there is a known conflict that I am unaware of. (The support ticket has my dxdiag and msinfo)

Any ideas are appreciated!
Sonic

Hello @sonic_ thanks for getting in touch with us and thanks for creating a support ticket with us.

As you asked for some other possible solutions whilst your ticket is escalated and you wait for a reply, I would also like to suggest the following steps for crashing games in general >

-If using an additional launcher with Ubisoft Connect, such as Steam or Epic, try installing these launchers onto the same hard drive as each other

-Please try deleting the Ubisoft Connect cache and Steam cache folders, to delete any temporary files that may be causing this issue, by following both guides for each launcher >
Steam > https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/6AD7-820D-8BE5-E51F
Ubisoft Connect > https://www.ubisoft.com/help?article=000061966
Epic > https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/epic-games-store-c73/launcher-support-c82/epic-games-launcher-displays-incorrectly-or-appears-blank-a3609

-Check your Windows Defender Firewall settings by opening your Windows Settings > Search for 'Windows Defender Firewall' > Select 'Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall' > 'Allow another app' > Add the game, the launcher, and any of its supported software it may use such as BattlEye or FairFight, to your apps that are allowed to connect online

- Check any Anti-virus software you may use on your computer, in case the game is blocked from launching or connecting online and make sure the game, or any supporting software for the game is not quarantined or blocked by this program

- Install the game to another HDD or SSD drive in case the drive you are using is slower or reaching its storage capacity, as this can slow down games or prevent them from launching. Also check to see you do not have the game installed to a Microsoft Storage space > https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/faqs/000026541/

-Try lowering the priority of the Ubisoft Connect app in Windows Task Manager > open Task Manager > select the Details tab > find the upc.exe entry > right-click and select Set Priority > select Below normal

- Do a System File Check (SFC) for any corrupted system files and a CHKDSK for any corrupted hard drives or missing files on your system which may be causing these crashes >

Please let me know if you need any help with the steps above and I will happily explain further.

As a side note, I did a quick check and added some of your components together minus the hard drives or any SSD drives, and it looks like your system is using around 600 watts of PSU power? Does this seem accurate to you?
