My ranked game 1st round (while droning) had my siege crashing on me while I was playing solo queue on Ranked, and just as I restarted siege, I get to find out that the random group of teammates I had already voted yes to "dodge" the game.

This resulted in a one-hour penalty for me. The loss of ranked points is ok, but 60-min penalty for the game crashing that wasn't my fault, nor my intention, I think that is too much? I only get to play this game once a week when I come home, the one night I have and I have to lose out an hour to enjoy this game.

This is the first time that this has happened to me and this is very disappointing. Hopefully Ubisoft improves this system cause the game crashing and getting penalized heavily like this for something you didn't intentionally want is just too much

Thanks for getting through to us, welcome to forums and sorry to hear about what happened, as I fully appreciate that the whole situation may have been quite a frustrating one.

As you may know, if there are instances where players abandon the match early, therefore to option to forfeit the match is something that has been given to players in order to enhance the gameplay experience and reduce such instances where players have to proceed with the game being outnumbered.

In this particular instance, you have experienced unfortunate crash which has led to players forfeiting the match and therefore you ended up receiving the abandonment penalty, although the intention was to come back and conclude what's been started.

I will make sure to forward your feedback over to our team accordingly, and in the meantime, in order to try and reduce the likeliness of crashes occurring ever again in the future, may I kindly check the following with you:

  1. Is this the first time it happened or are you experiencing crashes on regular basis?
  2. Did you receive any error message at all?
  3. Since when did you start to experience this?
  4. Are you using Vulkan or DX API?


To add, for troubleshooting purposes, if you haven't already, give the following steps a go and see if that helps.

@windd Hey there, sorry to hear this occurred and apologies for the late response.

Have you encountered frequent disconnects, and were you the only person disconnected from the game? If so, I recommend running through our basic connectivity troubleshooting to investigate the source of the issue.

If you were disconnected along with the rest of your team, please provide some more information on the incident, including the match ID and approximate time the match occurred.
