[2022] Why the UBI connector + the web connector is using around 40% my CPU when in game?

Ubi, do I need to get a 16core CPU so now I can handle the game? The game runs a nice 50-65% and the ubi connectorS are taking 40%.
My CPU is a bit old but c'mom... (I7 6700K )... a few weeks ago I was able to play at 120fps with most settings on the mid, now everything is on low and I see dips as low as 40fps.
fix that crap it is unplayable

@mykilly Thank you for confirming your system specs. Does running Ubisoft Connec in admin help with this issue?

Also please disable all background applications and see if that helps. You can find how to do this here.
