Hello everyone, pc user here. I decided to pick up rainbow six siege again with a few friends, and downloaded it from the epic games store. The download was a rather large one, about 83 gb but I managed it in about one night and attempted to launch the game. Unfortunately I was greeted with ubisoft connect starting a 54 gb download. I'd really like to avoid this download since I don't have the time nor the space to carry through with it. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Thank you for getting in touch about the download files. The additional download in Ubisoft Connect will be updates to the game and I am afraid that there is not a way to avoid these.

The size of the downloads are usually the same across all PC game launchers, Connect, Steam or Epic. However, I did notice that the last patch to the game which was Y6S4.1, slightly differs between Steam and Connect. Steam is 2.07 GB whilst, Connects patch was 3.38 GB, so overall not a huge difference in file size.
