Issue:
I get occasional FPS drops, meaning: Game runs normally at about 100 to 200 fps, then suddenly begins to stutter for a fracture of a second, shows the update rate icon that was introduced with the latest patch and right after runs normally again. With the recent patches, maybe also Windows / Nvidia updates, this happens way more frequently than before. (Playing casual and ranked matches)

What I tried so far:

* Re-installing windows+ (Using media creation tool to make 1709 usb stick and install only necessary drivers, such as chipset, nvdia drivers + game)
* Running game without having Bitdefender installed / using normal enabled windows defender
* Turning off steam overlay
* Turning off uplay overlay
* Unplugging unneeded devices (Xbox one controller, external harddrives, etc)
* Installing game on other harddrives
* Setting higher graphic settings (results in less fps, but same stutters)
* Turning off pagefile
* Swapping bios settings (enabling/disabling XMP profile and Asus optimized settings)
* Looking on forums that are saying that Windows 10 creators update causes stutters on games like bf1, but im not sure if this is the same issue
* Playing with only one monitor / not streaming etc

Other info:
When I am playing with friends with completely different PC setups, we sometimes experience the same stutters at the same moments, but not all of the time. (Maybe when we are standing close to each other or see the same effects / hear the same sound?)I'm not experiencing this kind of stutters in other multiplayer or singleplayer games and seriously dont know anymore what to do.
While digging the internet for this issue, I have sometimes seen this on very old threads before, but it never was really resolved in any cases, so i'm asking here again for my very own problem with this. I don't know if the servers can cause heavy FPS drops still, which would make sense as we sometimes get the same stutters, or if the fault is in the client. I hope ubisoft is tracking whenever the new "update rate icon" appears for players and looks into this, if this is a major issue. Any help for fixing this now would be very much appreciated.

Hi not_syro! I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem. Can you please let me know what all specifically you have tried on your own? I'd be more than happy to provide some additional recommendations.

- i been facing this issue all season (neon dawn) didnt have this issue before i bought my 360hz screen tho

- i am getting very consistent between 300-400 fps. lowest itll go will be 230'ish although this will only be for a few seconds, and only when im outside on a few select maps. the second im inside the building itll go back to the 300-400. my average fps is 360 tho.

- i face this issue like once a minute the yellow update icon will pop up on the right top side of the screen..

- and my fps NEVER drops really low.

So my real question is, is this impacting me in any way (server sided i mean) ?????
I cant percieve the drops tbh cus my fps is so high anyways and i was wondering if the update rate icon only appears because im at 360hz and it goes up and down between 300-400.
Or is this issue actually impacting me in a way where some of my shots might be cancelled out?
The uupdate icon is yellow, and never red.
Hope u can answer my question

My hardware is: RTX 3080, i7-9700K@5GHZ 360hz screen
Hello! I don't have a full answer for you just yet, but we'll do our best to find you some answers.

First of all, here is our blog post from back in the day that explains each connectivity icon: https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/r...ZZQWb0mBeJUem/

It explains that the icon will appear if "your frame rate is dropping or is unstable and the number of packets sent by your game client to the server is not high enough".

I believe your ping will play a part in this. Can you please confirm what you believe your average ping / latency to be?

Despite having a very high FPS overall, it seems to suggest that this icon will appear if your frames are inconsistent / unstable.

Would it perhaps be possible to provide a short video, with your FPS visible? That may help us review this issue fully.

Thank you!
