Hi,
I have an issue on PC that happens usually once or twice a week now, where the game will freeze up and then go to black screen. I can still talk to people on discord and see the start menu if I press the windows button or alt+tab, but I can't switch to another window. The only thing I can do is shutdown and restart. When I do that and reconnect to the match in progress, I have been removed from the match and can't rejoin and eventually receive an abandon penalty. It seems to happen between rounds, most commonly while switching sides.
I have tried verifying game files, running a memory test. I'm a bit at a loss.
I was going to log a support case but I can only start a chat when I select this kind of issue and chat is disabled?
Thanks for any help.

Hi @gvwc-efjay I'm sorry to hear that your game is freezing and that you are removed from the match and receive a penalty.

Could you go through the PC and connectivity troubleshooting then try again.

If the issue persists please let us know.

@gvwc-efjay Hi there! If those steps didn't work for you, I'd suggest reaching out to our Support Team via our Support Website or Twitter, with an image of your port forwarding configuration. The ports required for Rainbow Six Siege are located in the article linked here.

The exact process of port forwarding varies by router and internet provider. Usually, you can access your port forwarding configuration from your PC by logging into your router. Instructions are specific for every router and ISP, so you may need to contact them if you need more assistance with this.
