Hello,

I was able to play Rainbow using Vulkan for months. Playing Rainbow on Vulkan gave me much better FPS way above 100. Recently the game just won't play on Vulkan. It shows on Steam that it is running, but the game doesn't show up on screen or in the taskbar. It shows it's running in task manager along with Battleye. The game plays when not using Vulkan, but the FPS is below 50, so I can't play it without Vulkan.

I am not sure if this problem is related to me overclocking my GPU, but I closed MSI Afterburner and reset the settings back to default and it didn't fix the game.

I have verified the files on Steam. It said the files are all good. I uninstalled and reinstalled Uplay, it didn't fix it. I tried running the game in Administrator mode, still didn't fix it.

I don't know what to do now. Since it was working perfectly before I overclocked, for some reason it doesn't work now, overclocking may of had something to do with the problem. I'm not entirely sure though.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks,

- Sky

Hey SkyLick,

Thank you for reaching out, welcome to forums and I am sorry to hear about the issue you ran into.

Just to double-check, I can see that you've stated you tried launching the game with Admin rights, however to make sure you did this correctly, have you tried going to your game files, locating RainbowSix_Vulkan.exe and then launching it with Administrator rights, to see if issue remains?

If you have, yet issue remains, let us know and we will look into it further for you!

Thank you for trying that.

So there is no background applications running would it be possible to try a clean boot before locating RainbowSix_Vulkan.exe and then launching it with Administrator rights

Thank you for this additional information.

For troubleshooting purposes would it be possible to try the above steps again once you have whitelisted RainbowSix_Vulkan.exe and Uplay in your antivirus?

Many thanks in advance, we will get to the bottom of this

Thank you for trying that.

I think in this case it may be best if we can see your system files.

Once you have obtained these files if you could open a ticket and attach them to the ticket we will be able to investigate this further. You can also attach the link to this thread so whoever is helping can see what we have tried
