the issue first appeared on the 19th of June and troubled me ever since, leaving me currently on a 48h ranked ban. ( No ban-timer and error code 2-0x0000D00C)

Two or so rounds into a ranked match the game suddenly freezes and won't respond to any commands. Tapping out with Windows or Alt + F4 won't do anything to close the game or reach the desktop. I've only been able to close the game by restarting my PC through the Ctrl + Alt + Delete menu.

Regarding support entries addressing a similar problem, I've already tried the following steps:

  • Completed all suggested steps in driver easy's guide "[SOLVED] Rainbow Six Siege Freezing 2022"
  • Reset my network hardware
  • Checked for software conflicts
  • Reset the Hosts file
  • Flushed DNS
  • Started game as an admin


I'm currently playing precautionary on the lowed possible settings (the game still froze yesterday) and using a wired connection.

Hardware:

  • Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU
  • Ram: 16 GB
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6BG

As for the loss of control, I see you tagged your post as PC, but mention you are playing with a wired connection.

Can you let me know if you play with a mouse or controller?

We know that some Steam PC players were experiencing a freeze and loss of control of the mouse during the game previously, and also loss of mouse control when exiting the game on Steam.

Regarding the main issue of your concern, the mid-game freezing, this could be caused by hardware used, software used, connection to the server issues or BattlEye itself.

As no error code is given, but a disconnection occurred and the game mentioned the BattlEye program had kicked you specifically, can you please check this guide from BattlEye and scroll down the page to where it says 'I am getting kicked for the following violation..' to check if any of these error messages match the one you see when the game freezes and disconnects, as they also advise steps to follow to resolve > https://www.battleye.com/support/faq/: (https://battleye.com/support/faq)
