I've been playing on-and-off since 2017 and never received any ban confirmation from the dozen+ reports filed for being called whre/slt (I am a woman), racial slurs, and homophobic slurs. With chat logs being submitted with reports now, it's unfathomable that this still happens with such regularity, completely unchecked by manual or auto bans.
Almost all of the "system works great, I get people banned all the time!" comments in this thread are coming from self-identified champs and grand champs. Does Psyonix only care about elite level players, or is the report system itself just completely arbitrary in when and how it's effective? Not sure which is worse. I might only be a diamond, but I still care about the game and how thoroughly unpleasant its community is to interact with. If the latter wasn't so rampant, the former would be a lot more approachable and fun.
The Language Ban System doesn't care what rank players are.
Would you mind DMing me your in-game username so I can look into your report history?
I'd like to see what we're missing so we can use this information to improve the system.

1's is where it's at. The key is recognizing that if you're getting dunked on, that's the game where you're going to learn the most. Keep yourself from getting tilted and try to analyze why you're losing. What in your playstyle is being exploited?

Please continue to report abusive players as our ban system relies on these reports to determine what the community finds unacceptable. We also rely on reports for monitoring new phrases or behaviors that need to be added to our existing system (or for entirely new systems too).

Did you get a notification on your phone when you used the app? Notifications need to be allowed in order for it to work. In addition, the emailing for the code can take up to 72 hours.
