Rogue Company Dev Tracker

Post

Hey Folks! Today marks our first Store rotation with Rogue Company which means there are brand new items in the Store. You'll find a new Dima and Saint skin, a wingsuit like you've never seen before, and a few camos and emotes to add some flavor to your style.

We did want to call out a few things based on questions/feedback from some of you:

  • A few of you noticed (and maybe even purchased) the Hearts and Drones spray this morning for 5k Reputation. It was unfortunately mislabeled as an emote so we've pulled it to fix that. It will return for the same Rep amount in the future (along with the Bag of Tea spray)
  • Scaducci Dima while looking rather fashionable is not wearing his finalized helmet. You can see the final version below.

We look forward to your thoughts and feedback with this rotation. Remember each week we'll have new items of varying rarity and type.

Ranked and customs are the most important. If the game is fun people will grind because it’s fun. There was a comment on the vice map talking about eliminating one of the jump walls in the middle. Is that still planned?

I don't know of a current plan to do this. Which wall are you referencing?

Thank you for the reply. I actually wanted to know why were SEA servers removed permanently then? Many people bought the beta because they were there.

Problem with Tokyo and Oceania is I can't find matches in them, when I do, Tokyo is slightly better and I can play on it fine if only matchmaking didn't take forever. I haven't been able to find matches also because I can't play in the day time because of the job. Only time I can play is around between 10pm-1am. By that time, it's past midnight for both Japan and Australia like 3-4am. That's why probably not enough people are playing in those regions. :(

The SEA servers were removed with a series of other servers to improve overall efficiency and matchmaking. Unfortunately your play time as you mention is at a much lower population time and adding an additional server won't really improve your matchmaking.

If you do know someone in your timezone that plays on these servers during earlier, let me know how that experience is. We want to ensure options are available for everyone as much as we can.

The system is already in design and still is coming, just not in Phase 1. We wanted to be upfront with not only the fact that it moved out of this phase but the reasons why.

Least they added a new map and surrender option that is much needed but I still feel like a new rogue should be introduced if not in beta maybe at launch of the full game?

Stay tuned!

Hey there! There aren't plans to add any additional servers right now.

What is your experience like on the Tokyo and Oceania servers?

Can you give any kind of expected timeframe for ranked? Even if it’s something like 6-12 weeks, I’d just like an idea of when I can expect to see it.

Ranked is an incredibly complex system requiring significant amounts of UI and gameplay programming and will be the largest post Beta release feature we'll launch. Once it's complete we'll still need to do a lot of testing to ensure it's where we'd like it to be.

It sits near the top of our upcoming feature list, it's just going to take a little while to complete .

Reddit Rogues, in late July we launched Closed Beta and presented our future Roadmap. We are still hard at work on features, content and bugs in the Closed Beta but owe you an update!

With the Retail Therapy update (live now!) we are launching the in game Store, Surrender Feature, Deadzone settings, and more. Looking back at the Roadmap, we got it pretty right. The new map Vice launched with our last update and we’ve been prioritizing community driven features like the Surrender system, social improvements, and controller enhancements.

We got it *mostly* right. Last week's update marks us moving on to Phase 2 of the development Roadmap. After careful consideration we have decided to deprioritize Player Identity in favor of releasing upcoming features faster. We heard you...

Hey what about the Agent picking glitch with Anvil?

Fixed an issue where players could become stuck as a Rogue regardless of who they selected in the match

Are you referring to this?

Any ETA on when the hotfix deploys on switch? Crashes are a headache

The team is still looking at these crashes and making fixes. We don't have an ETA but hopefully as soon as possible.

So the Icarus hotfix is separate for later this week?

Correct. It should be later this week.

If you see this bug again, please let us know. This should be taken care of.

This morning a hotfix is being applied to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4 clients for bug fixes and a few minor changes (Nintendo will come later this week pending certification). Please note the following:

  • Players should no longer become immune to damage in Demolition mode
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing players from reconnecting to a match after a crash or disconnect
  • Fixed an issue where players could become stuck as a Rogue regardless of who they selected in the match
  • Players should no longer be able to place the bomb inside of walls and other unintended objects
  • Fixed an issue where the Redeem Code screen would remain on screen when clicking other parts of the menu or Store.

I have the details they provided yes. A fix is going in momentarily which should prevent it from happening again.
