Hi everyone,

We have some exciting news regarding the subreddit, it's had a little overhaul in the text department and eventually will get a bit of a shift in regards to the layout of certain menus, but for now let's jump into what's new!

First up, I wanna make a small clarifying statement as well as be as transparent as possible as there's been several instances where I've needed to correct people about the state of moderation on /r/SatisfactoryGame.

The current team of moderators is:

• u/Haigen64 - It me, I created the subreddit.
• u/Rekalty - The other Reddit nerd.
• u/bainegames - Swings the hammer harder than Thor at times.
• u/JaceAtCoffeeStain - Actual developer, the community manager and Kristen Stewart enthusiast.

3/4 of the team are not developers. The only reason Jace is a mod is because early on I wanted the place to look good on old Reddit and I'm terrible at CSS, so he offered to help do a design overhaul. If the situation arises that Jace attempts to censor criticism or otherwise break the trust we the community put in him we will not hesitate to revoke his moderator status. At this time we are not actively looking for more moderators, when that changes, we will call out.

So with the boring stuff out of the way let's talk about new things happening here and some changes we the moderators have made, and you'll hopefully enjoy!

Rules

We changed the format and wording of the rules as well as added a few new ones. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with them as we will be enforcing them going forward.

Flairs

We have flairs! They've been around for a bit but now we're going to ask that you flair your posts as often as possible, this will help the community find the content they want faster.The new flairs are as follows:

Discussion: For general discussion threads.

Screenshot: For screenshots showing things you’ve done or beautiful game scenery.

Factory Optimization: For threads about optimizing factories and workflow.

Showcase: Showing off something cool that you’ve made, whether it’s IRL or In-Game.

Help: Threads in which you need help with something related to Satisfactory or the Subreddit.

Meme: For the dankest of posts.

Modification: For those making mods for the game, use this to identify to other users that this isn’t official content.

News: Will be used for official posts regarding the game/studio.

Removal Reasons

For full transparency, in the past we've not provided removal reasons for removing posts, mainly because we either message the user ourselves or deemed it pretty self explanatory, which is just us being lazy. So now we have proper removal reasons which reflect the rules. Hopefully you won't need to see them.
