13s | We had so much feedback. A lot of love. A lot of bugs. |
16s | A lot of crashes. And we had a lot of content creators also |
19s | playing the game, uploading YouTube videos, |
21s | and streaming it on Twitch. And it was just truly |
24s | incredible to see people finally playing our game. |
27s | And seeing other people responding to it as well with Twitch chat |
30s | or comments on YouTube videos. |
32s | And in fact, I'm going to leave |

35s | couple YouTube videos that I thought were super cool |
38s | as well so you can check those out if you want. |
40s | And so today in this video I'm going to be |
42s | answering a bunch of |
43s | questions around Early Access so let's just start that right now. |
46s | When exactly will Early Access launch? |
49s | Early Access will launch on Tuesday, March 19 |
52s | at, wait for it, 5PM GMT. |
55s | I pre-purchased Satisfactory but it's not appearing in my game library. |

59s | and that is simply because it hasn't been released yet. |
62s | So when we release it |
64s | it'll appear in your game library and then you can |
67s | download the game and enjoy. |
68s | Can I pre-download the game? |

70s | Well are there any perks for pre-purchase? |
72s | There are no perks for pre-purchase. |
74s | Well then why would I pre-purchase? |
76s | Because you love us and you're excited |
79s | about the game. And you wanna... |
82s | play the game more than you want to pay your own bills. |

87s | Will our alpha test save files work with the Early Access version? |
90s | Yeah your save files from the closed alpha or the |
93s | alpha test weekend will still be compatible with the Early Access Version. |

101s | We have rebalanced steel and what that means is if you have a factory |
105s | that produces steel then |
107s | you are going to be affected by this. |
109s | We have replaced steel plates with |
112s | steel beams, and reinforced steel plates |
115s | with encased industrial beams. |
118s | And they have different requirements. |
120s | And so what that means is your production is just gonna |
122s | halt and you can go through and I'm not sure if you have to manually |
125s | reset each machine |
127s | or they just gonna switch to their |
129s | uhhh... |
130s | corresponding new item. But in any case |
133s | the requirements are different so your factories are just gonna stop anyway. |
136s | And this is a huge bummer. This is very bad. |
139s | And it brings up a questioning of "well how |
142s | are we gonna support rebalancing in the future?" |
145s | Yeah. How will you fix rebalancing? |
146s | So yeah we need to figure out a way that when we do balancing changes to the game |
151s | you can still access your factories |
153s | that you spent you know... 30... 40 hours on. We don't |
155s | want you going to refactor them unless you really want to. |
158s | And so our idea right now is that |

162s | any balancing change that comes out that could risk uhm |
165s | ruining your factory, we will store |
168s | a different version of the game in some way we'll |
170s | make it accessible to you so that you can keep playing on the same version |
173s | on your same factory. However, that does mean you won't be able |
176s | to get updates unless you're willing to refactor your factory. |
179s | This all still kind of sucks. This is probably the best way for us |
182s | to do it. But at the same time |
184s | we have to make these changes because the game is Early Access |
187s | and we need it to get better. So... |
189s | you know we can't just get it right the first time. We need to be able |
192s | to fix it and, again, this is limited |
195s | to things that will... |
197s | rebalance or affect your factory. |
198s | Anything like bug fixes or whatever, we're not gonna |
201s | just put a whole new version out for that. But in any case, we will |
204s | fix it. We must fix it. It's very, very important |
207s | that we fix this. |
209s | So yeah. Will the game be localised into any other languages before Early Access? |
213s | Yeah it will be. |
214s | Umm... we talked about community-driven |
216s | translations before. And we will still have that. |
219s | However, we decided to get some... |
222s | company to come in and translate |
224s | stuff for us now so that we have a... a large chunk |
227s | of the translations done already. |
230s | You know they may or may not be perfect because |
232s | of context issues or whatever. But they |
234s | will hopefully be some languages, and I can list off |
237s | the ones that we have now. If your language isn't here |
239s | maybe it'll be added later. But this is where we're |
242s | starting with so we're gonna have... |
244s | Arabic. Simplified Chinese. Traditional Chinese. Czech. |
247s | French. German. |
248s | Italian. Japanese. Korean. Polish. |
250s | Braziliar Portuguese. Spanish. Russian. And Turkish. |
254s | So hopefully that'll take care of a bunch of |
256s | you. We really want our |
258s | non-English speaking audiences to be able to play the game as well. |

264s | What's the plan with content creators? |
266s | So content creators who signed up with us a while ago |
269s | before March 5 by a Google Form |
272s | or by me directly. You will all get a free copy |
275s | of the game. You may have pre-purchased the game already, and if you have |
278s | you didn't need to perse. But you can use |
281s | Epic's refund policy |
283s | to get rid of it. And then use the key that we give you. |
286s | OR, don't refund it and use the key for a giveaway. |
289s | You will get your key at the same time as everyone else. |
