@chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 So if you buy a car and that car doesn't perform as it was advertised you blame it on yourself probably? :)
Anyway, there was no other option for us than to use UE. When you have limited choices you have to live with your decisions.
@chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 From your standpoint things look simple, but they are far from it. We had just a few weeks to chose engine that was to be used for Scum. To build our own tech was not possible with 3 programmers, the other option was Serious Engine which didn't support anything that MMO needs.
@chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 and SE is dead as we speak. Croteam is going for Unreal which is a good decision. UE is a good choice for simple games like Serious Sam. Btw @devolverdigital I've heard that Binx are closed? Hope your shares are doing well :P
@chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 Finally there was Unity and Unreal. Unity is #, means we would have to modify it heavily to support our needs (again 3 programmers), and UE is C++. So the choice was obvious for us. We just hoped that we will not have to modify it a lot
@chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 @devolverdigital Which was like that until we started to push it to its limits heavily.. then we saw that modifications will be necessary.
@KrisCalleya Literary anything we will add, certain amount of people will think it's not important. Planes are important for this game, they will be tied with the story eventually, and they are one of the options for players to use or not. they were planned from day 1
@chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 Work with Epic? LoL
I don't make things look better for you or anyone else. I say how things are, if you have trouble accepting that, it's your problem.
BTW for a person who is passive aggressive most of the time you should better check your perception of things instead.
@chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 "Get professional" :D Try to reach people from Ubisoft, or ask them to include your ideas or features in games. Thanks for your contribution but your comments are neither reasonable or helpful. Even when I explain the background you just keep going with same passive aggressive BS
@chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 in other words - you have to give respect to get respect. simple as that. BTW each time someone says "devs should be doing something else than..." a kitten dies. You are nothing but the cruel kitten slayer!
@d4n1ch @chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 We do send them reports, and they do fix (some) stuff eventually, but they will not do much in most cases. You are left to yourself most of the time. They give recommendations how things should be done which works for some games, but not if you are pushing their tech to maximum.
@d4n1ch @chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 Also we are too small to be noticed by Epic. I know some cases where they have sent men to AAA companies to try to fix issues with games that were not working at all. There are some very expensive games that failed too despite of their help and never got released.
@chrisbadley @RocketGirlGami1 Yes agree, you won't see Ubisoft founders giving a flying f*ck about their customers in general.
That being said, it's my channel. I can do what ever I want here. And I treat everyone as they deserve, that includes passive aggressive snowflakes. If you don't like it, go away
@cooper_cube We'll got to that point eventually. I doubt that people will sacrifice planes to crash land into someone's base. No point of losing the plane and getting stuck behind the walls.
Progress on the banker's clothes. A bit too sleek for Scum, would expect to have more kind of worn out look with sweat stains. What do you think? http://pbs.twimg.com/media/FLufLzaXoAEV5Wt.jpg
