I saw some people argued about Haircut DLC, mostly that these things are unnecessary, or should be free, or that they don’t have to do anything with survival. At the same time some of them complained about infections, abrasions, food or loot, fatigue, etc. Scum was always about
options and our community wants many different options. Big updates like 0.85v cover the essential game mechanics, and smaller ones (weekly updates)are expanding these mechanics depending on the community feedback but we still got tons of requests about cosmetic items that people
We will continue expanding the universe in the game by adding all kind of features (survival, missions, cosmetics, sports, etc) because Scum isn’t just PvP/PvE/hardcore survival, Scum is a life choice for each of our players and we’ll do our best with providing you with choices!
are requesting constantly. It’s been decided, that if there is a free time for artists, we’ll make some DLCs. If you don’t like them it doesn’t mean they don’t belong in the game, because there are people who want to have them, and since they are cosmetics, just don’t buy them.
And still, no matter what we do with these cosmetic DLCs, we will not forget our supporters. With each cosmetic DLC we’ll try to give something into supporter packs, like we did with Female haircuts now. Both supporter packs got 2 free haircuts there, feel free to check them out! http://pbs.twimg.com/media/FwBNhlIXoAAXtJR.jpg
@Chinmok36879034 @EpochZ4 Planes are next to come, cars and bikes are in. Old car models are not compatible with the new system, there is a replacement for a pickup waiting for programmers along with old bikes. Actually, I think that only cars are new. The rest of vehicles are the same.
@TheGreatSmutsby @BlushingIdris Relax, the problem is in your perception. Scum is a game as service model. We’ll be developing it after 1.0v so it really doesn’t matter. I can’t imagine people protesting against huge features coming in 1.1v for free just because games shouldn’t be worked on after 1.0v.
@TheGreatSmutsby @BlushingIdris How things look is completely individual. People like to make up stories on their own. Jagex didn’t insist on DLCs. It was our choice for reasons mentioned before.
How I see it-there are people who’ll see negative only and those who see the positive side of things, nothing else.
@TheGreatSmutsby @BlushingIdris Indie means independent, self published. We had publisher on EA release, we have it now. People don’t get what indie means. Ubisoft is an independent and self publishing studio!
But If we are talking about features and risks in game mechanics then they aren’t “indie” and we are
@TheGreatSmutsby @BlushingIdris We are still an independent studio, nothing has been changed in how we work. Anyway everything has been said, no point in discussing it further. People think what they think. I can’t neither I won’t to change that, but I can choose to whom I’ll talk to. Have a good one.
