You will be able to patch wounds with dirty rags. You will be able to remove bandages and disinfect wounds. The use of antibiotics will also boost your immune system. This is far from a simple IF THEN ELSE statement, the sim is very complex and deeply intertwined with metabolism.

Infections take long time to develop, but sooner or later they'll have to be treated or sepsis could occur. Wound severity is a major factor too, sometime you will have to choose between stopping bleeding or risking the infection.

Starting from the CON attribute that defines the strength of the immune system (if CON drops, immune system will be compromised). Then there is a source of bacteria, it can be anything from puppet's claws, dirty hands, dirty robes or rags that are place over the wound.
