@EricaFails Feel the pride
@EricaFails My bad, it was the Paris of the 80s! Apparently this was the official city motto!
@EricaFails Ugh.
Bring back the "Worcester is the new Paris" from the 90s
@EricaFails When I moved apartments a few years ago, I asked a moving company for a quote and was like, ".... also I have a loom..." and didn't even get a raised eyebrow. Just a "yeah yeah floor loom? How big?"
Damn Cambridge textiles nerds taking away my chance to feel special.
@TLOgg @Warcraft This man mains support!
@EricaFails Because of the missing ones providing extra room, my wisdom teeth are all still here! We are weird teeth problem archenemies!
@EricaFails You have my extra :( I am missing two adult teeth that never showed up. Was just a pair of baby teeth that held on for as long as they could but got bullied out by the other stronger teeth.
As someone who was raised to think of books as nearly sacred objects which should be treasured, watching the kid totally wreck them while "reading" on her own brings up some very real internal conflicts.
@Apostle_og GG! I still haven't been able to watch it. The wounds are still too raw...
@TimSweeneyEpic @mike_fricker @aidanshandle Wait @mike_fricker are we going back to WSL?!?
@kenandstuff But think of the grand story that will be passed down to generations and generations of both the dwarf and the tree's progeny!
@kenandstuff Oh man first dozens of DF runs deserve to be streamed.
@JeffAHamilton The grind!
Eyeballing it, I think a third to a half of my career has been on live games that we'd made. The real kicker is that I've never worked on a game that wasn't live.
@JeffAHamilton Many moons ago, when we were releasing hefty content updates every single month, there was a standing (unofficial?) policy that you could transfer off the live team any time after 18 months, no questions asked. Those fires burn hot!
@eric_lang On the "activity grind" - do you find it satisfies in that "checking things off my to-do list" way or something else?
@tyconner @tobi I'm honestly not even sure if I was on AC when that happened, so I couldn't tell you (if I could even remember)
@slipster216 I like that we all carry this / other baggage so many years after the fact.
@andrewparker @nabeel @kane Yeah same as Andrew. A lot of the kids in my HS had "weird" essays too for admissions. We know this because part of the "fun" was people reading them out loud to each other for feedback. So the groupthink was real but it went in very nonstandard directions.
@tobi Every attempt burns plat scarabs though! The costs add up but are worth it...
