Changes for vanilla players:
- Added a few extra spouse reactions when interacting with them without dialogue
- You no longer lose a fish if you pass out while holding it, or pass out while fishing into a fish pond
- Fixed animal products always harvesting with 0 quality
- Improved efficiency of playing sound effects.

A small update which adjusts a few things and fixes some bugs.

Gameplay Changes
  • Digging up special dirt spots, panning, harvesting ginger, and chopping twigs now grant foraging experience
  • Chopping trees and stumps grant a little more foraging experience
  • Sandy now sells basic pants in her shop

Bug fixes
  • Fixed bug where you could harvest unusual quantities of items from crab pots
  • Fixed secret gift recipient hint no longer showing up on Skills Tab
  • Fixed rare crash when making a call using the telephone
  • Fixed sound effects sounding different when using headphones after 1.6.11
  • Fixed crash when trying to connect to an improperly formatted IP address
  • Fixed rare crash in LAN multiplayer when not connected to a server
  • Fixed some minor visual issues with Cyrillic characters.

* If you lost an item that can't be found again, a new friend appears in the secret woods who can get it back (for a price).

* Items dropped in water now float for a short time, so you can collect them if you're quick or have a magnet ring.

Hello everyone, here's the latest update. There's nothing too big in terms of gameplay additions or changes, but there are some important bug fixes, and translation adjustments.

Stardew Valley 1.6.6 Patch Notes


Balance and Gameplay changes:
-Bee houses now work with flowers in garden pots.
-“Minecart depot” alternative layout now only appears in the upper or lava mine areas.
-You can now turn the gold clock on or off
-Added coal -> mahogany seed trade at raccoons
-50% mastery XP now only applies to farming, as originally intended.

Translation changes:
-Reverted Chinese text to 1.6.3
-Reverted Chinese default font to the original
-Added an option to use the smooth font introduced in 1.6.4
-Added a dialogue font size slider for Chinese
-Added complete Russian translated movie & desert festival sprites
-Added option for Russian to use the “old” font

Hey everyone,

With these major Stardew Valley updates, it's typical that there are near-daily patches for a few days after launch. There's always a few weird bugs that are only discovered once the update is out and all of you are playing it. So here is the second post-launch patch for you.

Change log:

-Fixes an issue with Willy's rod
-Fix for invisible tea sprites
-Fixed an error in the Luau event in Portuguese
-Fix for pre-1.6 basic wines looking messed up
-Fix for a soft lock if you charged a tool and then strafed to a warp spot, and released the tool while warping
-Fix inedible ingredients being poisonous after turning into jelly or pickles
-Adds scaling edibility to juice, jellies, wine and pickles
-Volcano dwarf bombs now match regular dwarf bombs
-Void egg is now poisonous
-Adjusted adventure guild open hours on map
-Various translation fixes

-Prevent animal page from crashing when clicking on the scroll bar when there are a low number of animals
-Fix Junimo harvester in save crash
-Fix Meadowlands farm quest persisting if the farm icon was selected, but then another farm was started
-Fixed the telephone robin house upgrade question being malformed
-Improved cases where the quest title could go off the edge of the quest log
-Fixed eyebrow accessory looking weird when fishing
-Don't allow clipboard to be set to a null string
-Fixed crash when farmhand re-connects to town during green rain (and potentially other related crashes)

Hey everyone, 1.5.6 is out now.

It's a small patch that fixes a few bugs, adds a "quality of life" feature for multi-monitor users, and addresses a few gameplay inconsistencies that have been around for a long time (i.e. the hoe dirt under mature forage crops de-spawning, and indoor grass dying in winter)


- On multi-monitor setups, the game now remembers and restores on the last used monitor.
- Potential fix for a random crash that could occur at the end of the night.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the various farm types' wallpapers and floorings from applying when starting a new game.
- Fixed a bug where pressing ESC to dismiss the level up screen would dismiss the menu without applying the level up, causing it to reappear every night.
- Hoed dirt no longer decays under forage items on the farm. This ensures that dirt under freshly grown seasonal forage seeds can no longer disappear randomly.

Hey everyone,

1.5.5 just went live. It's a small update, which doesn't add new content, but has some important technical changes for modders, some quality of life changes, and some bug fixes:

[Architectural changes]
- Migrated the game from XNA (targeting .NET Framework 4.5.2) to MonoGame (targeting .NET 5). This futureproofs the game and allows mods to access more than 4 gigs of RAM.
- Made various internal changes for mod authors.

[Quality of life changes]
- Holding the CTRL key in addition to shift now lets you purchase/craft stacks of 25 items at a time.
- When starting a new save, many settings now default to what they were the last time you played the game. Some settings like zoom level, gamepad mode, and multiplayer server privacy aren't copied over.

The 1.5.1 patch is now available on PC. It fixes several bugs and issues that were discovered since the launch of 1.5 on Monday. Below is a changelog:

Changes:
  • The crystal cave puzzle now gradually get easier after repeated misses.
  • The “Spawn monsters on the farm” advanced game option will no longer reset when selecting a different farm type after the setting has been modified.
  • Spouses will no longer stand around looking at rug-type furniture items. This fixes a case where a spouse might stare at a Floor Divider, which could cause them to block the player’s way through a narrow hallway.

Hi everyone,

Santa came early... Stardew Valley's 1.5 update is now available! As always, this update is completely free for anyone who owns Stardew Valley.

1.5 adds a big piece of new content to the "end-game" of Stardew Valley.
Now, completing the Community Center is just the beginning...

It's not all about end-game content, though... there's plenty of new stuff all throughout the game, as well as useful improvements and convenience features.

This update also adds local (split-screen) co-op.

I like to keep most of the big stuff secret, so that you'll be surprised when you encounter it in game.
