[2023] 3.9 doesn't run on Linux

It runs on my Ubuntu 22.04.1 installation just fine. What distro and version do you have?  

I'm not ready to update my Ubuntu yet (the process looks really complicated) so I can't test 23. Probably best to make a bug report in that forum at this point!
