The launcher crashed on Linux when it was version 2023.14 , but it ought to be okay now 2023.16 . What actual launcher problem are you having?
Are you running the Flatpack or other such installation of Steam? If so, you need to instead use the proper Steam one:

Are you using the native Linux version of the game, or playing via Proton or Wine?
And finally, what happens if you run ./stellaris directly from a terminal command line? What output do you see when it crashes?
