[2023] I updated to the latest version in steam 3.10.0 - Game now crashes

That exceptions log makes it look like a file system issue. Have you got plenty of free memory, paging file, and disk space?

Does this happen if you start and play a new test galaxy?

Any mods in use?


DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.  

Your paging file is pretty full, you might
expand your Windows paging file maximum size to 32gb

Optional: Increasing the paging file size on Windows computers

On computers that have 8 GB of RAM, the suggested paging file size is 16 GB. www.ibm.com
And exit every other app you can before starting the game.

If that doesn't help, I guess this is indeed a game bug - although how that could cause the PHYSFS entries in exceptions.txt I do not know. If the same galaxy works okay in a previous patch (I think that's what you are saying?), by all means revert to that to finish that game off.

I agree! I am now seeing other crashes like this since the recent patch.

Please make a new thread in Bug Reports, and attach there a save file that shows this problem.
