Well this originally started as just a standard playing deck of cards, but I got curious on what a card could look like in a trading card game setting. In the fandoms I'm in I just love designing playing card decks since I get to draw my favorite things and it gets me out of my comfort zone with certain designs.
I'm still fussing with the style to go with for the cards however. On one hand I like sticking to the game's simplistic cell shading, but then there's times when I paint that could also potentially fit.
If I stuck to paint I'd almost want to go off with a more desaturated pastel look since the Platypet definitely comes off as extremely dark.
As far as the card design goes, I tried to stick to the UI design of the game itself since I like the bold colors and easy as heck to read typeface. It just displays the number, name, type, a brief description of the Temtem, and then the numbers on the left are ATK and HP (I just shoved the base stats in there for display so I could see what it'd look like). On Raiber, I experimented with having the numbers defined, but I think it clutters more than actually informs.
I did wireframe out a potential card design for items, attack, support and such, but I don't know if those will actually be done. I'm more focused on the actual Temtems themselves since again, this was just supposed to be a standard playing deck.
Feedback would be great! This is just for fun, it's good practice for design and art, and it's Temtem. Can't get any better than that.
