Hello tamers! We just had the longest chat in our discord server about clubs, and we unveiled lots of info.To make it easier for peeps to find and re-read, I'll be leaving some of the juicy info here.

  • Clubs will have a size limit of 50 tamers
  • Can be formed anywhere, straight from the menu
  • Clubs can only have one leader, but more than 1co-leaders, recruiters and standard members. Leadership can be transferred.
  • Clubs will have two names: the long one, up to 25 characters, and an abbreviated version up to 10. Same rules as for character names, so no numbers and only English characters. There's no word limit, though.
  • Clubs can be set to private, only joining with invitation, or public, where everyone can join
  • Clubs will have club chat!
  • You can only be in one club at a time
  • Clubs will have customizable banners! Tamers will be able to choose from a myriad of options and color combinations to ensure originality.

Keep in mind that this is the first iteration of clubs, and as such will have no game mechanics yet, nor imply any benefits for players in it.

Hope this helps, have a good day!

Nah, both of those make a ton more sense - that's a huge amount of additional data that needs to be stored. Multiple chats aren't necessarily the same.

It's like the difference between asking Discord for the ability to upload bigger files vs the ability to create more channels/servers. The former really would just result in having to store more data. The latter isn't going to result in (much) more content - it's just going to be spread out more, instead.

Of course, these are all assumptions because I don't really know how Crema implemented their chat system. But I do think there's a possibility that it might not be a huge ask, so we'll see. Fingers crossed!

I'd recommend suggesting it on the forums, though! Comments on reddit posts sometimes go unseen :)
