While I disapprove people getting too adamant on the two sides, I have some concerns about a form of censorship and a lack of transparency on how bans and appeals are reviewed.

This person is a known cheater who even admitted to the tools they used. They've been stirring trouble even though they were banned a long time ago. You never know the two sides of the story, and this is not a measure we usually resort to.
We don't casually ban anyone, and misinformation IS becoming a problem. If us admitting that the system isn't perfect is a reason to distrust us, go ahead. But no system is perfect, and us admitting that it has flaws (against what some here seem to think) just means we're alert and wary, and that we take ban appeals very seriously because we know the system isn't perfect.

Playing normally, avoiding 3rd party programs that might influence gameplay, and staying away from tricks is 100% the way to go.

We've explained many times why we are not considering other methods of punishment at this point, and it even appears in the thread you've posted a couple of times now. Apart from our stance on cheating this early on, it takes A LOT of resources. I believe we are in line with many other games, despite us being way smaller and more short-handed than they are. And still, I can respect that you disagree with the methods we employ, as everyone has the right to do so. We, as a company, cannot explain ourselves as much as community members and players can.

Yes, our stance on this was really bad at one point. We've always acknowledged that, and it didn't take that much for us to change our perspective. Ever since then, we've made a lot of other changes and improvements, and more will probably come in the future. While I can respect that you no longer trust us, I think it'd be fair to admit things have changed and the system has improved, despite its current flaws.
I can totally support waiting until the game is near a final stage and we've sorted all of these growing pains out. I just, as a Crema employee, cannot sit idle and let these threads run rampant with only one side of the convo.
