One of the most satisfying things you can do in Pokemon (aside from PvP battles) is go to the battle tower (or whatever equivalent exists in ). The tower asks you to bring your most diverse but powerful cast of Pokemon that can be ready to handle anything. The challenge comes not from predicting your opponents, as it does in PvP, but as a test of endurance. How far can I go before the computer throws a team at me that I can't handle?

In doing so, you are justly rewarded with the coveted battle points. Battle points are used for purchasing items useful in breeding or battle, such as that Flame Orb for your Guts Conkeldurr, Ability Capsule to switch that pesky Rough Skin on your Garchomp to Sand Veil for your Sand Stream team, or a replacement Everstone because you accidentally released your breedject with it still equipped. Players want to battle with their Temtem not participate in the exercise of futility that is lowering the health of a Tem, hoping they don't knock themselves out (because of course they will), and having your TemCard resisted.

Even if the conversion rate was 75% as efficient as the current FreeTem method, you would see the vast majority of players doing it instead. Hell, you could sell the Telomere Hacks, DNA Strands, and Fertility Essence at 150% of their effective Pansun cost in time (relative to FreeTem), and I almost guarantee people wouldn't be upset. Or, if the increase in costs of the DNA Strands and introduction of the SaiPark is truly due to bots collecting Pansuns, as some people have speculated, then make collecting battle points a far more effective way to acquire breeding items, because clearly the bots are far too easily programmed to take advantage of FreeTem.

The problem isn't the grind, it's that this grind sucks.

There will be a battle tower equivalent. Just not in the game yet :)
