Temtem has massive potential. It has captured all of the essential elements of the original pokemon games and built upon them with its own unique ideas. I embrace the fact that the game is early access right now, because it means there is still so much potential for it to grow into something amazing. We have now had a few weeks to play the game and to identify what is working and what needs attention.

Unfortunately, this patch does almost nothing to move the game forward. No chat, no quest UI, no matchmaking, no daily quests or repeatable ways to earn pansun, no additional Tems or techniques.

I find breeding in this game to be much more enjoyable than Pokemon and have spent most of my time in game collecting and breeding Tems and levling them to max. The gameplay loop surrounding the breeding and leveling process is tight and rewarding and clearly it should serve as the backbone for TemTem moving forward. There is so much potential to implement the kind of MMO systems that will keep people coming back every week to catch and breed new Tems.

For example. Right now we grind Pansun with the Free-Tem society. Its a mindless but repeatable task and currently the only way to earn Pansun outside of selling to other players. What if each week the Free-Tem society gave you a reward for releasing certain types of Tems, or a bonus for releasing a Tem with a perfect SV'S? What if the Breed-Tem society opened an outfit next door and gave you weekly reward for breeding a specific Tem with specific stats or moves?

There is SOOOOOO MUCCCHHHH stuff that is sorely lacking from this game right now and I feel like this patch should have done more to push us towards a complete game than it it actually did.

Everything in there will eventually arrive, it's been only a month since the early release :(
