So I posted one suggestion here yesterday about an item that tells you where a Crimson or Corrupted block is and in what direction. A lot of the comments said that they would rather have a potion or item that showed the blocks like a Spelunker potion. I thought about it, but then I thought that if you were to go on a cleansing adventure and spend an hour or two trying to get rid of the disease, then I think crafting the same potion again and again might be a much. Then I thought “The Clentaminator sure does look like a sniper gun. But you know what its missing? A scope.”
(Also at one point Redigit responded to a mention in the comments of the OG post and said they already added something better, so who knows Evil and Hallow Biome Spelunker potions might be a real thing)

On behalf of the community, I want to say that not one of us players' suggestions is entitled to be in your game.
At the same time, I still want to say thank you, not only for taking the time to even look at these mindless pings and countless suggestions, but for providing us with a great game that's 11 years old, yet still in the making.

Sorry, I realized I could have given a better explanation. Star Cannons only do so much damage because of how limited the ammo is. You can do a short but powerful burst, or grind for more sustained damage.
Something like this would require a nerf to the Star Cannons, or like you posted, a ludicrous crafting recipe that nobody will want to grind to make. At the end of the day, it’s not worth spending what limited dev time we have left for this update on a niche item like this.
