The % dame increase from "skill grade" only applies to the initial explosion on firestarter and not tho the burn damage which is majority of it's damage
With my eclipse build the base damage for firestarter burn is 273k and the explosion damage it's 2*273k=546k
Now with skill grade 14 the burn damage stays the same and the explosion goes up to 622k
The issue is with almost 13 second burn duration the burn deals a total of 3549k damage meaning the explosion is only a small part of it's damage and it renders the damage increase from expertise meaningless
Is this intentional that is only increases the explosion damage and if so would you consider changing it
