Title.

I reinstalled today after a few years away and have since gotten myself an Xbox Series X/S controller, the only model I could get on Amazon with Prime here in Brazil. Turns out most of the bindings are all messed up. In menus, for example, X overlaps with B. During exploration, B overlaps with A and L-stick click (sprint) overlaps with the map button of all things. R-stick click open the menu 😐 So on and so forth.

The game not being ported to the Xbox Series X/S isn't an excuse if anyone thought of that. idk how backward compatibility is with this game on that console, but there's no reason why this controller shouldn't work on PC over a year after it became available.

And I'm really not interested in the "you spoopid, you cannot play with a controller on PC because the PC Master Race says so, so stop being spoopid" rhetoric. I'm not even interested in PVP, so I pay however the hell I want. And regardless of anyone's opinion on playing with a controller on PC, it's ridiculous that they didn't bother to configure the newest controller in over a year.

Hello @unnecesaurus ,

Thank you for reaching out to us with this.

May we please know if you're using the controller wirelessly via bluetooth?

If so - could you please try the controller via a wired connection and let us know if this works.

We are aware of some titles not being compatible with the Series Controllers when being used via bluetooth and this has been fed back to the team, but using wired should work in the meantime.

Thank you!

Thanks for letting us know about this x41x6ex64x79 and glad to hear you have not had any issues with your particular Razer Series X controller.

As Ubi-TheBerry suggested, for backward compatible titles of ours like The Division 2, when playing on next-gen consoles or controller on PC, it is best to use a wired connection when you can for the most stable connection, and remove any dongles or devices you may have attached to the system.

The newer XBSX and PS5 controllers are not officially supported in the system requirements of the game. Though some variations of the controllers may work without issue, this compatibility can not be guaranteed.

You can see our officially supported peripheral list here > https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/help/the-division-2/article/supported-peripherals-for-the-division-2/000063548

@robbydrew Hello! I am sorry to hear that you are having the same issues. Are you using the controller wirelessly or wired with your PC? If you are using the controller wirelessly please try to plug the controller into your PC with a wire to test if that helps.

Thanks for sharing this @Noxious81.

If you do wish to edit your game settings file to try and enable Xbox Series X controller support on PC (not supported officially), please make sure to back up your game settings file (or in this case your state.cfg file) onto your desktop before making any changes, in case editing this text may go wrrong, then you can replace this file with your back-up, just in case.
