Does anyone else love being connected to hosts across the world so the lag is so bad in countdown it just constantly drops you back to the WH without any reward or anything for 75% of the game you did play? It's absurd that all the rewards are held to the end and there is no way to detect if you crashed, or were sent back to the WH because of a bad connection with the host.

This is a known issue and I don't think they can fix or care to fix it, so they need to do something about the time wasted because it's not fun, and while I loathe saying, it's really not fair. If we had a game with servers that weren't constantly on the fritz in Countdown, then it would be a different story, but here we are with constant crashing, constant disconecting to the point where some games just don't happen once we're there because we lost too many people at the start, or they just randomly get nabbed as the game goes on until we're left with only 3 people to extract. This is crazy because you all are silent on it.

Hey there @Traumahawk and @B8Y4GA, and I am sorry to see you're having some issues with connection stability in Countdown.

There are actually a few issues with Countdown connections that we're currently investigating, and I'd like to collect a bit more info to see if what you're describing matches something we're already aware of. Answer the following questions for me if you can!

  1. When you connect to Countdown, are you on your "home" server throughout the entire process, or do you frequently end up on a different server for the duration of the Countdown?
  2. When you see other players disconnecting, is it always just one at a time or do you see entire subgroups disconnecting at once?
  3. Have you been able to communicate via voice or text chat with any of the players you've played Countdown with? If so, could you tell if they were in the same general region that you are?

Thanks for getting back to us guys.

Do you note any specific error messages or codes when you're disconnected too at all?

Hello again @B8Y4GA

As you seem to be personally experiencing the disconnects and crashing issues, there is some troubleshooting I would like you to complete to see if your stability increases at all.

  1. Run through the basic PC troubleshooting.
  2. Disable the Ubisoft Connect overlay, this is known to prevent a few game crashes.
  3. Clear the Ubisoft Connect cache.
  4. Perform all of the connectivity troubleshooting. This would include some port forwarding specific to The Division 2.

Let me know if you continue getting disconnects or crashes after following all the advice here.

Thank you for answering those questions for me, @Traumahawk!

Do you ever get disconnected yourself, and when you do do you receive an error message?

Hello again @Traumahawk

Since you are not receiving any specific error messages when you disconnect or crash, I would recommend running through my previously posted troubleshooting steps. Afterwards, if you continue having issues with game stability during Countdown, please open a one-on-one support ticket, and attach copies of your basic system files to that support ticket.

Let me know once those files are attached so I can get them directly submitted to the Team for review!

Hey there @B8Y4GA , thanks for coming back to us.

Just to clarify the steps Ubi-SleepyGoat has said, the two files described in our system files support article can be used by our support specialists to diagnose the issue and give specific troubleshooting, or if that cannot be done then they can be used to investigate further internally. However, this does mean that the files themselves need to be sent across to us on a support ticket, using one of the liks below. Once your support files have been looked at, one of our support specialists will get back to you on your support ticket directly.

Open a support ticket with Ubisoft Help
Send a Twitter DM to Ubisoft Support
Send a Facebook PM to Ubisoft Support

Please let me know if I can clarify this further!

Thanks for your reports of this same issue, @AlpineBrisket - I appreciate it! I understand you've seen these same disconnections.

Can you tell me when you took these screenshots?
Also, have you yourself faced any disconnections?

I'd like to pass this information along internally to help with our investigation, alongside your screenshots. Thanks again for reaching out with these!

Thanks for this update @B8Y4GA .

Were you able to send us any system files as requested below?
