1 – Problem in “A Dog's Rescue” (World Event in Oxenefordscire) – Upon completing the World Event, the fox Dandelion Puff is adopted by Eivor and constantly appears in the settlement (Raventhorpe). After the Feb 16th update 1.1.2, the fox disappeared completely and never appeared in the settlement again. update 1.2.2 of June 15 announced that this issue would be fixed. Immediately after the update, the fox reappeared in the settlement. However, after the first game load the fox disappeared again and no longer appeared in the settlement. Update 1.2.2, from June 15th, did not solve the problem.
2 – Problem in Fly Agaric in Eurvicscire (Kill three wolves and two boar-like beasts) – After completing the Fly Agaric there is no mark on the place (X) where it was completed.
3 – Problem in Hoards Map – The Oxenefordscire Hoard Map continue to appear in the inventory even after the treasure is found. In this case, even though it's a mistake because the other hoard maps disappear after finding the treasure, I think all hoard maps should remain in the inventory after their treasure is found.
4 – Legendary Animal in Hordafylke (Bear of the Blue Waters) Trouble – After the Legendary Animal is defeated, it lies dead on the ground. However, every time it passes close to the place where the animal was defeated, it appears alive and standing. When it gets really close, it drops dead again as it has already been defeated before.
5 – Fish issue – After the 1.2.0 update of March 16th, fish are experiencing some issues. These problems occur with different species of fish and in different regions of the game. Live fish appear rising and falling out of and into the water and swimming above the water. Dead fish go up and down out of and into the water. After the 1.2.1 update of April 27th, the issue has diminished, but it still occurs. Additionally, three types of fish do not appear anywhere in the game and two of those fish are needed to complete Fishing Hut deliveries. Are they:
5.1 – Big Mackerel (Partially resolved with the 1.2.1 update of April 27)
5.2 – Big Flatfish (Partially resolved with update 1.2.1, dated April 27)
5.3 – Big Eel
5.4 – Large fish in Norway are found in very low quantities, including Big Mackerel which was not found anywhere before the 1.2.1 update of April 27th. And in most of Norway's waters no fish are found.
6 – Several completed quests do not appear in the completed quest log. They appear in the registry after they are completed, but disappear after the first game load. The following missions are:
6.1 – A Brief History of the Hidden Ones (Raventhrorpe)
6.2 - To Serve the Light (Raventhrorpe)
6.3 - Carrying the Torch (Raventhrorpe)
6.4 - A Little Problem (Raventhrorpe)
6.5 - The Huntress (Raventhrorpe)
6.6 – Have You Seen this Man? (Raventhrorpe)
6.7 - The Baker's Plaint (Raventhrorpe)
6.8 - Man of Mystery (Raventhrorpe)
6.9 – A Wise Friend (Raventhrorpe)
6.10 – Archery Contest (Petra's Romance) (Raventhrorpe)
6.11 - Taken for Grunted (Raventhrorpe)
6.12 – The Case of the Missing Ale (Yule Festival)
6.13 - Cow Catcher (Yule Festival)
6.14 – Let's Get Festive (Ostara Festival)
6.15 – The May Queen (Ostara Festival)
6.16 - Spiritual Defense (Ostara Festival)
6.17 – Egg Hunt (Ostara Festival)
7 – I have already identified several different places where fireflies are found. The problem is that after collecting the fireflies the first time, they don't re-colonize and appear again in that location, they can only be collected once.
8 – Problem with the Taken for Grunted (Raventhrorpe) quest – After finishing the quest, if you refused to be with Randvi because she is still married to Sigurd, the possibility of starting the romance in the future is open. However, after doing any loading the option to start the novel disappears from the dialog options with Randvi.
9 – After the 1.2.0 update of March 16, the running command seems more difficult and the speed of running on foot and on horseback seems to be decreased.
10 – Trials of the Morrigan in Ireland trouble – After completing Trials of the Morrigan, no markings appear on the locations (X) of which they were completed. This happens with all Trials of the Morrigan in Ireland.
11 – Problem with an Opal in Uí Néill’s Rest/Meath/Ireland – Unable to collect the Opal in Uí Néill’s Rest. Opal appears to be inside the chest where Cú Chulainn Shield is.
12 - Problem with Gunnar (Blacksmith) – In Raventhrorpe, when passing near the place where Gunnar forge the weapons and armor, Gunnar begins to say phrases completely out of context of the settlement. He says the normal phrases he says in the settlement. But he also reproduces phrases he says during the quests from the “A Tale of Wicker-Fire” arc in Glowecestrescire. This issue only occurs after finishing the arc in Glowecestrescire and Gunnar returning to Raventhrorpe.
13 – Codex issue – Several enemies from the base game and some included in the May 13th Wrath of the Druids expansion were not included in the codex, in the part where the game's enemies are recorded. They should be included in the codex. Are they:
13.1 – Caudillo.
13.2 – Warlord.
13.3 - Murderer.
13.4 – Crazy.
13.5 – Crossbowman.
13.6 – Shooter.
13.7 – Pyromaniac.
13.8 – Yeoman.
13.9 – Skirmisher.
13.10 – Pikeman.
13.11 – Launcher.
13.12 – Lord of arms.
13.13 – Tribalist.
13.14 – Amus.
13.15 – Nordic Gallowglass.
13.16 – Master of the hares.
13.17 – Warrior.
13.18 – Bloodthirsty Vikingr.
14 – Problem with Hunwald, Deorlaf, Ljufvina, Broder and Tewdwr – This is the strangest bug that has happened. After finishing all missions in the game (I finished Holy Day quest in March 26), several allies died during the battles, among them Hunwald who dies in Holy Day quest. However, when accessing a room in Hamtun Blockade (the same room in that Guthrum's allies were trapped in the Kingdom's End quest), I find the Hunwald lying and wounded on the floor and Deorlaf in this room. And outside the room, Ljufvina, Broder and Tewdwr are fighting the soldiers. This issue only occurred after finishing all missions (March 26). And so far, I visit Hamtun Blockade and the five are still there.
15 – After reaching the last level of Cattle Farm, cattle appear in the settlement. After reaching the last level of the Grain Farm, a plantation appears in the settlement. However, after reaching the last level of Fowl Farm, no fowls appear in the settlement. The last level of Fowl Farm was to introduce a fowl nursery into the settlement.
16 – River Raids issues – After the 1.2.0 update, dated March 16, River Raids had the following issues that did not occur before:
16.1 – The River Raids Jomsviking that appears as NPC at the River Raid Dock at the Raventhrorpe does not match the Jomsvikings who are selected for the dracar.
16.2 – The Jomsviking who sits at the end of the Jomsviking Hall appears below ground (only the option to start dialog appears above ground) at various times. This issue usually occurs when renewing Jomsviking Hall, returning from a raid, or loading a saved game.
16.3 – After the June 15th update 1.2.2, it is no longer possible to collect Foreign Supplies. All Foreign Supplies chests are supplying Iron Ore and Leather. The idea is not bad. But it is necessary that a part of the chests provide Foreign Supplies.
17 – Photo Mode Issue – After the 1.2.0 update of March 16, the yellow icons of the snapped photos disappear after the first load of a saved game. However, the photos are still saved on Ubisoft's photo mode website. After the April 27th update 1.2.1, the yellow icons reappear and disappear depending on the load. It has uploads where icons appear on the map. And there are uploads where the icons don't appear on the map. This issue occurs with the yellow icons of photos taken after the 1.2.0 update of March 16th. This problem occurs when the service is online.
18 – The “online service error” issues (which cause photos and opals to disappear from the map temporarily), especially when trying to view the snapped photos, should be fixed by the 1.1.2 update of February 16th. But the message keeps popping up at different times. However, it is appearing less frequently than before. However, it still gets in the way a lot. Issue is not resolved by patch 1.1.2, dated 16th of February, nor by other patches.
19 – Order of the Ancients Trouble – There are two Order of the Ancients clues in Glowecestre that are having trouble. One is the lane inside St. Kenhelm's church and the other is the lane inside the wall at the Glowecestre exit closest to St. Kenhelm’s church. Once collected, the two clues are not identified among the order members and reappear in the same location every time a new game load is made.
20 – Problem in Reda's Shop – After update 1.2.0, of March 16, Reda's Shop started to present several problems:
20.1 – Daily missions (contracts) – On several days some of the missions disappeared from the mission list after I accepted the contract with Reda. On other days, only one mission appeared instead of two days.
20.2 – Items for sale – On several days the item offered daily did not appear for me to buy. Only weekly items appeared. A second problem was with the weekly items. In a few weeks there were only five items for sale (the correct one is six). This issue seems to be related to the berserker set. And in a few days, the items for weeks didn't show up for me to buy.
20.3 – Settlement Decoration Items – Items in the Reda's Shop appear identified with a sign when they are items that the player has already purchased or acquired. However, all settlement decoration items appear unmarked. Only when making the purchase of the item, the game warns that the player already has the maximum amount available for that item and the purchase is cancelled.
20.4 – Items purchased at Reda's Shop take a long time to be recognized as purchased and remain available for sale. But when making the purchase of the item again, the game warns that the player already has the maximum amount available for that item and the purchase is cancelled. It is only after some time or after a new game load that purchased items are recognized and appear in the inventory.
21 – Problem in the Animus Store – After the 1.2.0 update, of March 16, the Animus Store started to present several problems:
21.1 – Items or packages purchased at the Animus Store take a long time to have their purchase confirmed.
21.2 – Several times, items or packages purchased from the Animus Store take a long time to be recognized and appear in the inventory.
21.3 – Several times, at the end of purchases in the Animus Store and during the recognition of purchased items, there is a problem with items that I already had in my inventory. This issue involves all items in the berserker pack (weapons, armor, mounts, birds, settlement, dracar) and the runes I received when purchasing a special edition of the game. When this happens, all improvements to berserker weapons and armor are undone and resources (iron, leather, titanium) are returned to the inventory. And I get again one by one of the berserker package items.
21.4 – When buying the Taranis pack (on the day it was released), the problem reported in item 26.3 happened and there was a problem with the hairstyles that I can change in the Tattoo Shop with Tove. The classic hair (blond) has been unlocked a second time and now two copies of the option icon for those hairstyles appear. All other hairstyles remain normal and with only one option icon.
22 – Problem with Mõdraniht tattoo set – After update 1.2.1, of April 27, the set of Mõdraniht tattoos (head, chest, back, arms) is unlocked any time the game is automatically saved. After this happens and while the set is in inventory, this issue no longer occurs. But right after visiting the Tove in Tattoo Shop, the set disappears from the inventory and on the next auto save the set is unlocked again.
23 – Issue with Runes – Several space limitation issues prevent proper and fair use of Runes, sale of Runes and viewing of Runes in inventory. These issues occur since the game's release and have not been fixed to date. Update 1.2.2, from June 15th, increased to 300 the number of Runes that appear to equip weapons and armor, but it is still insufficient for the amount of Runes that explorer players can collect/buy and for the amount of weapons and armor that have Rune sockets.
23.1 – The amount of space for Runes to appear in the inventory is limited and several Runes are not visible in the inventory. Runes have an order in which they appear in the inventory and Runes acquired after reaching the limit are not visible in the inventory.
23.2 – The amount of space for Runes that will be placed on weapons is limited to 300. At the moment, there are 134 weapons in the game (base game, updates, expansions, for sale at the Animus Store, to redeem in Ubisoft Connect). This amount of weapons requires 134 Diamond Shaped Runes and 268 Round Runes, almost close to the limit of 300. Even allowing to equip all weapons, with the addition of new weapons in the Animus Store and in future expansions this space of 300 will be insufficient. In addition, this limit of 300 prevents the use of the most recently collected/bought Runes that have exceeded the 300 limit. This makes it impossible to modify the weapon's Runes to look for new combinations.
23.3 – The amount of spawn space for the Runes that will be placed on the armor is limited to 300. At the moment, there are 36 complete armor sets and 3 armors with torso only (base game, updates, expansions, for sale at the Animus Store, to redeem in Ubisoft Connect). This amount of armor requires 39 Diamond Shaped Runes and 510 Round Runes. This makes almost half of the armors cannot be equipped with Runes. And new armor will be added in the Animus Store and in upcoming expansions. In addition, it also makes it impossible to modify the armor Runes to look for new combinations.
23.4 – The amount of space for the appearance of Runes that can be sold in the Trading Post with Yanli is limited and this prevents the Runes that are at the end of the order from being sold as they are not displayed.
23.5 – When a Rune that was included in a weapon is swapped or removed from the weapon, it continues to appear from the inventory. However, several times it doesn't appear in the set of available Runes when we select the option to include in the new weapon.
23.6 – Does not exist to collect/buy the following Round Runes of armor: Minor Aegis Rune, Great Aegis Rune and Hunter Rune. Of those armor Runes that are missing from the game (Aegis and Hunter), only the Aegis Rune, Minor Hunter Rune and Great Hunter Rune are found in the game.
24 – Stability and performance issues – These issues were intensified after the 1.2.0 update of March 16th and the 1.2.1 update of April 27th.
24.1 – The image of the scenarios is not stable (ready) and is being formed (appearing) as Eivor approaches the place where he is going.
24.2 – The game map image (in the menu) is not stable (ready) and it forms (appears) as the cursor moves across the map.
24.3 – The image of vegetation (mainly bushes) disappears after Eivor passes through it.
24.4 – Enemies (on foot and on horseback) present a misshapen form (something like a general model for any type of enemy) when they are far away. When Eivor approaches them, they transform into some kind of enemy soldier. This same problem occurs when Eivor whistles to summon the mount. Sometimes, the mount approaches with the misshapen form (sketch) and when it approaches Eivor it transforms into the mount that is selected. This happens in several places in the game, but it is extremely common to happen in Glowecestre.
24.5 – At various times, the finishing blows are performed out of focus. The enemy's body is on one side and the finishing blow is performed on the other side and in midair. This problem happens to human enemies, but it happens mainly to animals. It also happens that the finishing move is performed with a camera under the stage. This problem mainly happens when killing animals inside the small cages, but it happens in other places as well. This issue is most easily seen when the cinematographic camera of the finishing blows is turned on.
24.6 - Occurrence of crashes when Eivor is moving in scenarios. In some cases, it appears associated with the reported issue of the Mõdraniht tattoo set unlock message. These crashes are usually associated with times when the game auto-save occurs. First the game crashes and is stopped for a few seconds. Then the autosave icon appears on the screen. And then the message appears that the auto-save failed and the saved game is corrupted (due to the problem reported in the following topic). The same problem occurs with the game map image (in the menu). The game map image also crashes at various times when the cursor moves across the map.
24.7 – The lighting and the image when entering and leaving some caves is strange and unclear. This problem occurs a lot in caves that are under waterfalls, but also in caves outside of waterfalls. Lighting inside wells also poses problems.
24.8 – The game sound was practically muted a few times I played it. In some cases, the sound returned on its own after some time of playing. But most of the time, it was necessary to load a new game for the sound to return.
24.9 – At various times, Eivor crosses under the scene when performing moves in which he jumps under the ground (such as when using the Ability “Dive of the Valkyries”). This has already happened in several scenarios in the game and in the Mastery Challenge (in the Trial of the Bear in Templebrough Fort, which uses the Ability “Dive of the Valkyries”). It has also happened when jumping from a high place and performing a light blow when falling to the ground. When the Eivor crosses below the stage, it is submerged in the water and can swim. But it's impossible to get back to the surface and he drowns.
25 – Mastery Challenge issues – After the update 1.2.2, of June 15, Mastery Challenge had the following issues:
25.1 – When finishing or restarting the challenges, the game has a blank screen while reading the game. Several times the game is on this screen, there is a crash and the game is trying to read, but it doesn't leave this screen anymore.
25.2 – The achievement of Battle Energy and Mastery Energy to buy the weapons Hildiran sells is extremely limited and difficult. You must earn all the Mastery Challenge Gold Medals to be able to buy all the weapons, settlement items and tattoos Hildiran sells.
26 - Problem with game saving (Corrupted Data) - This is the worst problem of all and takes away the pleasure of playing because it interferes a lot. This issue causes all automatic and manual saves to become corrupted, often leading to loss of progress. This issue has occurred since the game was released and has not yet been resolved by any update. On the contrary, with each update released the problem got worse. In the beginning, this problem happened sporadically. After the 1.2.0 update of March 16, which implemented the Ostara Festival, this problem became frequent and happened mainly in the settlement area. After the April 27th update 1.2.1, the problem got even worse. From here on this issue became more annoying as the 1.2.1 update included in the game a warning message whenever a save is corrupted (“Failed to save game progress. An error has occurred that prevents your game from being saved. Restart the game in order to save your progress again.”). And after installing the Wrath of the Druids expansion on May 13th, the issue has become recurrent and it's no longer possible to do any valid automatic or manual saves. The only way to proceed in the game is that when trying to do a manual save (which always gets corrupted), the game performs a cloud save. But that save is quickly replaced by a corrupted save, leading to the possibility of losing all progress made from May 13th, the installation day of the Wrath of the Druids expansion.
26.1 – An additional issue caused by corrupt save is game crash. When corrupted save occurs, the above error message appears. To continue the game, it is necessary to confirm the error message (by clicking OK) so that it disappears from the screen and the game continues. However, if you don't confirm the error message with OK (and it continues from the screen) and the game performs one more corrupt autosave (and a second save error message appears), the game crashes and you can only restart the game loading the last valid save.
