[2022] Convoluted and bad designed spectating function. It is just bad, or there is a trick to use it?

Hello,
Is there an easy was to spectate someone ghost in Trackmania 2020 (single player mode)?

I found on the google (as there is nothing in game that would explain how to do this) that right now the way is to enter camera 7 and click on specific ghost by alt + mouse. However seems like this is broken, intuitive and bad designed.

1. (At least in standard access) when you are driving with ghost from your region is hard to select the one that you want to observe.
2. I don't see a way swap between them except trying to hit the one that you want to observe with alt+ mouse click.
3. Clicking alt + mouse seems like can "stick" center of the camera not only to the car, but also to specific point on track with makes hitting ghost even harder and annoying. Car are moving all the time thus is hard to click on them
4. When you want to restart run (respawn) you are again in free camera and what's follow, you are forced to try again hit on ghost that you are interested in.
5. Even if you click on the ghost (spectating it) you can't change the camera angle. You need to manually rotating it.

Is there a better way? Or there is something that I do not know?

I want to observed ghost to see how they were able to get a better time but it's impossible because of how poorly spectating function works.

1. You can't see only one, specific ghost (this function is available only for medal ghost except author). You are forced to see several of them from the region which makes hard to observe the one you are interested in.
2. There is no any function to automatically stick to ghost, neither switch between them
3. cam 7 and then alt+ mouse click ....... only the devil could design such horrible way
4. Game does not even tell you/show how to spectate (I was forced to use google to find a way)
