Is there a reason that patch notes get announced only 3 days before release? I assume most of PoE players are casual, and would love a week to plan out their builds, especially since its in the middle of the work week.
The earlier we release them the more subject they are to change. We try to keep this to a relative minimum after the patch notes are out (although some changes do still get made). Three days before the launch is the best compromise we can make as far as patch note reporting/allowing some time for pre-planning.
If you don't mind me asking: According to the timer on the PoE website the league starts quite earlier this time, how come?
It's a combination of daylight savings and us starting an hour earlier in NZ to make things slightly easier for the European players.
