No, there is not.

I like the idea of a Trello board for the QoL overview. Should give us a better understanding of the backlog (just knowing, what issues are acknowledged can be very helpful) and the status of those issues.

I'm also interested in the "Letters from the Front". So far, only one Community Broadcast gave us some great background info – the weapon animation article to be precise. Let's hope it will go in that direction and maybe even further. Some official updates from producers and/or leads would be great (no "we can't talk about that right now" all the time, please).

I've got a Community Broadcast in the works on Level Design. Just working to get the videos finished and imported. (It's a REALLY detailed look in how levels are created, etc.)

When the Progression System Update comes (4.4), you’ll just start at whatever level you’re currently at and progress to the next level. 14 will be working towards 15, 50 trekking towards 51.

I’ll ping the music engineers. I loved the different themed soundtracks in BF1.

Thanks.

Not yet, brother. I’m gonna be seeing one of the lead Devs in Germany on Monday, so I’m gonna see if we can sit down and hammer out some details on some top requested stuff.

If someone is legit trying to game support to get stuff they know they’re not supposed to have, then that’s abuse of support channel and violation of TOS (like, if they lied in chat about it). If an advisor went outside of process and granted something they shouldn’t have, the advisor would face the consequences, and the item may be removed with no further action on the player. All depends on the situation.

I appreciate the fact you communicate these things to the teams and have to deal with such a mess. At this point it's on the teams that you communicate to, to deliver on the feedback from the community. We are passionate about this franchise and that's why we are upset. We want this game to be the best it can be. But the fact that the dev teams aren't delivering/communicating to you and in turn, to us, is frustrating. They aren't giving much to work with and they should be held more accountable if they aren't already. But anyway keep doing what you're doing, it'll only help us understand more of what's going on behind the scenes.

I’m not throwing them under the bus, by any means, so i hope my comment didn’t seem like I’m scapegoating them. They’ve got a whole pile of things on their plate and they’re having to prioritizing various things (and shift priorities due to new bugs/issues), so it’s not radio silence, but some things are put on the back burner until we can get bugs like stuttering, crashing, etc solved and out of the way.

Hey Veekay. As previously noted, it’s not a critical priority for the devs right at this time because the team is working to get the game back on track. Even discussions internally are temporarily put on hold to focus on the bugs and gameplay issues that they’re trying to resolve. That being said, I’m going to reignite the conversation as we head up to 4.6 and see where we are regarding the community’s request and the ideas PartWelsh and I have floated to them.

Buddy, you gotta stop. Did you even read my comment?

I'm saying that you keep deflecting legit criticism that you can't handle as "abuse". It doesn't work that way.

DICE's customer relations and social media handling has been a nuclear disaster ever since the BFV trailer dropped. They will be using the marketing around BFV as an example in future school textbooks as an example of how not to interact with your customers.

You need to keep in mind how bad DICE's PR has been when doing your job. It's not your fault, but you're representing DICE and your customers are clearly going to be frustrated based on past experiences with the business you are representing. Trying to deflect the valid criticism that they give as "abuse" yet again is just making things worse.

I don’t deflect valid criticism as abuse. I am literally talking about insults - you do know the difference, right? When someone complains, rightfully so, about the state of BFV, bugs, issues, it’s not abuse. It’s criticism. And I take that and share it with the team. When someone says “stupid $&@%# devs should be homeless” (or worse - and it happens a lot), that’s not criticism. That’s abuse. There’s a difference. And the latter isn’t something I’m going to engage with. Don’t try to whitewash SOME folks bad behavior (and it’s only some, not the entire community, or even a large part of the community) with a “legit criticism” veneer. That’s my point. And that’s all I’m going to say about this.

Have a great day and a great weekend. (And because some folks MAY look at that with a sarcastic lens, I truly do mean that. I do want you, everyone, to have a great day and a great weekend. And I’m going to do the same. Take care.)

And here you are again, trying to deflect criticism with claims of "toxic abuse and insults". DICE's PR has been absolutely destroyed by their failure to properly manage social media and customer relations over the past year, you need to remember this.

You're a "community manager", you need to be able to handle criticism from your customers.

Literally said criticism is acceptable. Abusive insults are not. If you can’t tell the difference and don’t see the problem, that’s on you, mate. This isn’t hard to understand. Or maybe it is? Either way, it’s ridiculous to believe, for one second, anyone who works on any game is “required” to take abuse. I’ll take honest, constructive criticism- positive and negative - all day.

They're pinned to the top of the thread. You know that.

Stop deflecting negative criticism for petty reasons, people are asking for communications improvement and you're rejecting anything you don't like.

Negative criticism is absolutely fine. Constructive negative criticism is better. Don’t try to confuse “negative criticism” with toxic abuse and insults. The latter is wholly unnecessary and something I don’t have to engage with. Not deflecting anything.

No, I mean you, as in myself or normal scros, can ask the EA origin support guys for unreleased cosmetics, epic skins, and even allegedly the chauchaut....which I am waiting on screenshot confirmation on that one from a local players boyfriend.

Apparently if you're just nice to the poor Indian/Pakistani support they will straight up give you stuff if you ask nicely for it. That shows how mean some of you assholes can be to faceless people in support chats.

They are not allowed to grant things without proof. If they do, it can end up costing them their job. And, just a warning - not an accusation - if you try to game support and phish for content you aren’t supposed to have, it can cost you your account.

I’m talking about more than just missing weapons and bugs, but core criticisms what I think has been done right, what needs to be utilized more, what is lacking on a foundational level etc.

I’ve been pretty negative but I normally love these games and have put hundreds of hours into them and want to see it improve because honestly I dont know if it is recoverable in my (or the communities) eyes at the moment. Plenty of things have clearly been delayed or mishandled and I feel bad there are people blaming you and partwelsh for the lack of communication.

Sure, man. If you have a big doc, email me at [email protected].

Also, it’s u/Braddock512, not 513. ;)

I hope you are right Braddock, I hate seeing the game like this and I hate being negative but I'm just worrying if there will be people hanging on until then. I finally found some free time to play BFV today and there were only 4 conquest servers on the US east coast on PC. In my 17 years of playing this franchise, this is the first time I ever worried about seeing a mainline BF game dying off before year 2. I hope what you guys got cooking for the fall and for year 2 blows the doors off people and brings some much needed momentum and more importantly some f**king positivity back. Sorry for ranting or rambling on.

I find so many Conquest servers on the East Coast. Being on the West Coast, that’s not as much fun. Lmao.

And you’re right, we need to kick ass and shift into high gear to get this righted - and deliver awesome content.
