Update: The team is tracking this issue with an Open JIRA ticket.
They're investigating why - though it's not able to be consistently reproduced.

As the ticket gets updated, I'll keep you posted. They're looking to have a fix in an upcoming update.

Before you hit the ticket thing, have him try to rank up whatever class is missing unlocks again AND get to the EoR screen. It should pop any missing unlocks. If it doesn’t, it’s something borked in his account, but an Advisor should be able to sort him out. If that doesn’t work, PM me the case number and I’ll personally look into his specific account.

It should be fixed. The issue is two-fold: 1. If you leave the round before the EoR Screen, it won’t unlock a weapon even if you unlocked it through progression in that round as the stats are synced during the EoR screen 2. If you don’t get an EoR screen (like the bug we had affecting a lot of folks), it won’t unlock until you hit the next rank AND get the EoR screen.

Now, looking through Slack on this specific issue, there’s a way to get the unlock without contacting EA Help (which, depending on your skill level, may be faster). You have to hit the next rank in the Class/Soldier progression AND get to that round’s EoR screen and any missed unlocks for that Class/Soldier Progression should pop.

TL;DR - EoR screen checks progress and grants unlocks. If you don’t get to the EoR screen or it doesn’t show up, it won’t give you the unlock until you do.

Check the Playlist tomorrow when it goes live.
Use the "See Servers" option. It should open the server browser running the playlist and you can select a server with better ping for you.

The issue had been escalated to the Dev team and it was resolved (except for a few outliers who may need to contact EA Help to look into the account) - it was created due to the EoR tracking issue that came up before the holiday break.

It should be identified, fixed, and the patch implemented without any 'extra effort' from the end user. He didnt break it, so why does he have to go out of his way in an effort to 'address' it? He just wants to play the game and progress like you would in any other game....

That's unfortunate, as there was a progression bug recently that has been addressed and our Advisors can assist. It doesn't require someone to be "tech savvy" to go to help.ea.com, login, and click CHAT. We don’t want it to be a chore to contact support when necessary. But as it does require account verification, that’s basically the only option (for security reasons).

I agree that "he didn't break it", and our Support team can fix his missing progression unlocks, but outside of that, there's nothing I can do. I was giving you options to assist him. If that's not something he wants to do, there's nothing more for me to assist with in this matter. I’m sorry.
