The current Pacific playlist has both Conquest and Breakthrough. 4 rounds of Conquest, 4 rounds of Breakthrough.

That being said, when we drop Update 5.2, you'll be able to create your own 24/7 Pacific Breakthrough playlist.

It's heartbreaking to see BFV make a comeback with the great Pacific launch and now become worse and worse, goofier and goofier with Halloween, European elites, soon father Christmas, then at some point we will have Japanese elites fight Americans in Stalingrad. I can't believe the dev team actually thinks this is a good idea.

Definitely appreciate the feedback.
I won't be responding to any further inquiries regarding this unless I have new information.

The lack of autobalance is one of the biggest problems with the game at the moment IMHO. I'm also curious if there is any kind of between-round team scrambling because it doesn't seem like there is at present.

Hey /u/ianucci

Team balance is an issue I've brought up numerous times. I don't have any insight right this second to share, but it is something the internal teams have mentioned repeatedly in their playtests, especially on smaller modes like Squad Conqquest (2 players leave one side, it's a slaughter).

The team switching thing is something I've offered as a recommendation (based on feedback from y'all in the community), but the concern is how to prevent people from pub-stacking (more than they already do) and how to prevent folks on a losing team from switching to the winning team. (We had this in BF1, so I'm continuing to push to see if we can get any update from the team.)

I'm sorry I don't have an answer today. It definitely is very frustrating when teams b...

What are you replying to? There's 327 comments on this post and your reply is out there with no context. (Just so I know to what you're referring. Thanks!)

Can we vote now to remove burnt, Halloween and German elite skins from the Pacific?

At this time, there's no indication the team has any plans to remove those items from the Pacific.

Thanks for your feedback. Constructive criticism is always welcome. u/PartWelsh is working on a more in-depth article that should be coming out before the update that has more information.

"You know" Adam and I don't play Battlefield V? I play daily, as does he. And most of the Devs do.

Is there any chance of the issue being fixed during the week?

It would require a hotfix. Right now the team is focused on the next update so if you get into the last task and are on Operation Underground, play the match and then play the next one in rotation or back out and use the server browser to search for a Grind server that isn't running Operation Underground.

Other than that appreciate adding OP Underground to the mode, though was a shame to see that was the only addition. Guess thats something to look forward to in future weeks when it comes back...

From what I was told, it's the way the mode is set up on the backend. For Operation Underground, it's different than the setup they did to create Grind for Vanilla. The mode works, but for some reason it doesn't track the last task on Op Underground.

Hey Braddock, any new word on the possibility of porting some more characters over to our new factions?

Nothing I can discuss right now. There are talks internally of addressing the amount of soldiers (male and female) in the new factions.

Jump into Grind on Narvik, Devastation, Twisted Steel, Rotterdam, and now Operation Underground. Complete the tasks and unlock the Barbed Baseball Bat.

  • Grind on Rotterdam
  • Grind on Operation Underground

Let’s look at the tasks. Remember that the exact mission requirements can be found in game in the Tides of War menu.

NOTE: The last task, “No Quarter”, will not...

Wait, so this Jack guy is a Marine? Around the time of Wake Island? But is a “veteran” of several European battles?

Who the f*ck at Dice makes this shit up?

The Marines of World War II are best known for their island hopping campaign in the Pacific at battles such as Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Iwo Jima and Okinawa, but they also had a small presence in the war’s other theaters. A Marine brigade occupied Iceland during the early stages of the war, and Marines later served as advisors and trainers during British and American amphibious operations in Africa and Europe. During the Normandy invasion, Marine sharpshooters used their rifles to detonate floating mines and clear the way for Navy ships. At least 50 members of the Corps also served as intelligence agents and saboteurs for the Office of Strategic Services. They included Colonel Peter J. Ortiz, who parachuted into Nazi-occupied France and was later twice awarded the Navy Cross for his efforts in aiding the Resistance. All told, roughly 6,000 Marines took part in the European and African Theaters in some capacity during the war.

These are the rules provided by the legal team. There could be a restriction at customs or something. I don’t know.

Since the TTK megathread is over, may I ask a question here? I understand the damage over range rationale and, although it has never seemed pressing to me, I suppose certain guns do very well at range.

But I can't shake the feeling that "damage over range" is marketing speak for "we're nerfing everything to increase TTK"

Clearly people here have that feeling too.

Since none of us know how TTK will be affected, can you comment about the vision of how it will?

Do DICE devs like the current TTK?

What aspects of current gunplay are worth protecting?

Do DICE decision makers & the community here want the same thing?

I, for one, am convinced that BF devs love & play the game as much as (probably more than) we do.

So what's going on here?

Is there more to the story that we don't see?

The Megathread isn't over: https://www.reddit.com/r/BattlefieldV/comments/dwwqp9/ttk_megathread/

And we'll have more details on the changes as we finalize the update notes. u/PartWelsh will be driving details from the Dev team.
