Hmm, no the Steam connection issue usually affects all workshop content. So you have other workshop assets that show up in the Content Manager just fine?

Can you link some of the assets that aren't showing up in the content manager here?

In vanilla, European buildings will not spawn outside of a designated district if the map theme is not European. The OP is on the tropical theme, which means the automatic mixing of growables is caused by a mod (probably Building Themes as mentioned previously).

If you have the European Style enabled, then the European buildings can spawn in any high density zone. To avoid that you can either disable the style or you can apply a district style and set it to International or Default - that will make sure that none of the European ones spawn.

Sounds like a Steam connection issue. What usually does the trick for me is log out of Steam, shut it down completely, then restart it and log back in.

Definitely looks like your Steam isn't connecting properly. What usually does it for me is log out of Steam, shut it completely down, restart Steam and then log back in.

If that doesn't help either, I suggest reinstalling Steam, since you've pretty much done all the other steps that usually get it to behave.

We'll need to see the logs, which you unfortunately can't attach here on Steam. The best place to get help is to make a post on our official support forums: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/support-bug-reports.879/

Include any details of what happens, like what you're trying to do when it crashes, what error you get (if any), if you use mods and what you have tried already (so we don't have you go through things twice).

If you get the error saying "Oops the game has crashed..." then it mentions a folder with 3 files, which we will need.

If you do not get that error, we will need the output_log.txt (called player.log on Mac and Linux), which is found in the Cities_Data folder.

Both the Cities_Data folder and the crash folder are found with the game's local files. The easiest way... Read more

Everyone is correct that you're running out of memory and that a fixed size pagefile will help. I recommend setting it to 32 GB (that's 32000 MB since pagefiles are measured in MB).

And just for reference, if you do end up needing more help, the best place to get that is our official support forums found here: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/support-bug-reports.879/

We'll need the files in the folder the error mentions. Unfortunately the Steam discussions aren't suited for this, so I need you to make a post on our official support forums and attach the files there.

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/support-bug-reports.879/

To find the folder the error mentions, right-click on the game in your Library, select Properties, select the tab Local Files and click the button Browse... That will take you right to where it's found.

In that case it's worth trying the Safe Mode options that come with the Loading Screen Mod on that one save. Before loading go into Options, find the Loading Screen Mod on the left, then check the options for Safe Mode and try loading your save.

Can I get you to make a thread on our official support forums? Steam just isn't suited for support unfortunately. :/ Include as much detail about the problem, what you have tried, etc as well as your logs.

When on the main menu of the game, is After Dark listed as an owned DLC on the left?

255710 is Cities: Skylines ID number on Steam, so any files with another number would be for other games you have.

For verifying the game files, right-click on the game in your Library, select Properties, select the tab Local Files, and click the button to "Verify integrity of game files..." - this usually takes a little while.

I've been unable to load your save too unfortunately. :/ Do you have any other versions of the city? Like maybe an autosave?

It depends on what is required for the asset in question. Props and trees are just decorative items, so the asset will load just fine without - it will just not have those props and trees.

If an asset lists a mod or a network as a requirement it is usually a different situation. In this case the asset just won't load without the required item. So you can always test without and add the required item later, if the asset isn't working/showing up in game.

Have you tried the Safe Mode options that come with the Loading Screen Mod? That should be able to recover your save from a simulation error. Before loading the save go into Options and enable them. Then try loading the save.

No, Microsoft Store version doesn't have modding support. Practically it's the Xbox version, just available on Windows. Like how you have been playing the Xbox version on your PC through the app.

The best place for us to help you with this issue is the official support forums. Please include as much detail as you can about what happens, when and how often it happens. Then we'll get to the bottom of this faster. :)

The Microsoft Store version is the same version as you are already playing on Xbox. If you're looking to mod the game, then you will want the Steam version (which can be bought from Steam or Paradox Plaza among other places) or the Epic version. Steam comes with the workshop, which makes modding easier, where Epic requires you to find and install mods manually.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide support here on Steam. The discussion forum here just aren't suited for that. :/

This is definitely the game running out of memory. You can increase the size of your pagefile to allow more flexibility.

If you use mods, then I would also recommend disabling any you don't absolutely need while working in the editor. Most of them are designed for the simulation and don't work correctly in the editor, so a mod acting up in the editor might cause errors (even if you don't see them pop up), which uses additional memory causing the crash.
