How can i see this list? I have the mod downloaded/

In Options you can find the mod on the left, then you can enable the option to create a log and see/choose where that log is generated.

Avast shows up in the crash log. Make sure to set cities.exe as an allowed and trusted app to ensure your antivirus isn't causing issues.

Crash!!!

The game is running out of available memory. If you haven't already, I recommend setting up a custom-sized pagefile of 32000 MB. Here's a few guides on how to do that:

Searching the Savegame category on the workshop for "Road only" or "Road layout" will give you a lot of maps with roads already placed. Some of them do require mods though.

Removing assets that have missing dependencies will lower memory usage some - since you will load fewer assets. That might improve performance for some people who have very high memory usage.

Similarly subscribing to all the missing dependencies might impact performance negatively since more assets means higher memory usage.

It could be memory related, but it could also be something else. The easiest way for us to tell is to see the log. I recommend you make a thread on our official support forums and attach both the output_log.txt and the error.log there. Both are found in the folder the error mentions.

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/support-bug-reports.879/

To easily find that folder, right-click on the game in Steam, select Properties, find the tab Local Files and click Browse. It will take you right to where the folder is created.

Props and trees missing from a building will only cause them to not be there. The building will load and work just fine, it simply looks different.

Missing networks can cause a building to not load at all, but then that building will show up as broken, so you can just ignore the "missing" warnings and only look for "broken"

For decals you wouldn't make the diffuse texture transparent, but you add another texture called alpha, which is a greyscale texture that tells the game what should be transparent. Black is fully transparent, white is completely solid.

Here are a few links related to asset creation and specifically decals:

Do you see the Paradox launcher? Or does it never show up either?

Try verifying game files through Steam. I've seen another case where the game didn't update properly, and verifying game files should fix that. Also, if you are using a beta build of Steam please switch to the most recent release build.

PostProcessFX and Render It are the mods that have options for SSAO. The mods should allow you to disable it or simply turn it down.

Sounds like the Paradox Launcher isn't showing up. Try reinstalling it following the steps in this post:

I would recommend Blender. It's free and does everything you need. It takes some time to learn, but there are lots of tutorials out there for it.

You will also need an image editing software. I recommend something that lets you work in layers. Photoshop is one option, GIMP is another (free) option.

The launch options isn't a permanent solution. It's a way to narrow down where the problem is, so we can find a solution that works for you. You mentioned the game crashes on the main menu for you as well, if it doesn't with the launch options, try starting a new city to see if that loads up fine. Let us know if it works just fine or if it crashes again like that.

Does it also happen with the launch options -noWorkshop and -disableMods in place?

How To Set Launch Options
  • Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
  • Enter the launch options you wish to apply in the box (be sure to separate each code with a space) and click OK. Should look like this:
    -noWorkshop -disableMods
  • Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

I can't seem to change the elevation of the prop.

This is because Move It doesn't allow you to elevate props on its own. Prop Snapping is the mod that lets you do that.

Also make sure you're using the correct tool for painting the industrial district. You want the Industry Area Tool, not the regular district tool.
