Hey everyone!

Today we published another developer interview on the website. We sat down with a familiar face, Allison Berryman, to talk about the upcoming new Secrets of the Enclave Flashpoint and reflect on its creation.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to let y'all know that the team is aware of some lingering issues regarding a handful of players still not properly seeing their daily PO's. The team is working on a fix, but in the meantime if you're experiencing this issue, you can just omit that part of the system in your feedback/testing.

Hello everyone!

Earlier today we had a SWTOR team livestream. In it we talked about some of our recent updates as well as officially announced Game Update 6.3 - 'The Dark Descent'. After seeing how much the community enjoyed the pre-recorded interviews with our voice actors, we debuted two new ones featuring Moira Quirk and Gideon Emery. The recording is available to watch now on Twitch and I included timestamps for each segment. If you prefer YouTube, I will include the publishing schedule at the bottom of my post as well.
  • General introduction by Musco, Jackie, Chris, and Charles. (00:05:00)
  • Game Update 6.2 - 'Echoes of Vengeance' R...

Hey everyone!

During today's livestream we announced an upcoming system that's part of Game Update 6.3 called Galactic Seasons. We published an article explaining how the system works and what rewards will be available.

(Side note for anyone wondering about a livestream recap: I'm currently working on getting that written up, so you can expect a separate forum post detailing all of that later today.)

Hey everyone!

We've updated the PTS and it is once again open for testing. Here is a list of the Uprising fixes we've implemented:
  • All: Full Level 75 rebalance of all Uprisings. This includes enemies and bosses.
  • Destroyer of Worlds: Reduced the amount of Trash by about 50%
  • Destroyer of Worlds: Adjusted range of Skurr & Velloc attacks so they now only hit players within their AoE indicators.
  • Done and Dusted: Enslaved Sand Bats now have a reasonable amount of HP
  • Firefrost: Environmental snowfall in the final boss now actually can damage the player.
  • Fractured: Final boss no longer resets randomly after defeating Lord Anril.
  • Fractured: Enemies no longer can go through a specific gate while it's closed.
  • Inferno: Kolto stations now work.
  • Landing Party: Commander Tassar can no longer cast Void Space right after Force Slam.

Hello everyone!

PTS is now live! Players can experience the changes to Amplifiers and Uprisings.

Amplifiers
The team reorganized the Amplifiers user interface (UI) for a better browsing experience. Previously, Amplifiers were organized in alphabetical order. Now, they are organized with a tree-based view:
Players can expand a specific Amplifier type to see all the Amplifiers available in that category or collapse the category to hide them. This change also reduces the default list.

A new tier of Rarity has been added to improve the visibility and readability of Amplifiers. In addition to the existing tiers: the Premium (Green), Prototype (Blue), Artifact (Purple), and Legendary (Gold) tiers, there is now a rarity for the lowest tier: Standard (White). No Amplifier values and no odds to obtain specific Amplifiers have been changed.

Were also introducing Rarity Locking as a way for players to exchange credits for greater ch... Read more

Hey everyone,

Below the list of the known issues, you may experience while testing the changes to Amplifiers and Uprisings.
  • Some text is not being displayed properly for Rarity Locking, but the locking feature and price are working correctly.
Post
Hey everyone,

You can now test the changes made on Uprisings on PTS! All Uprisings are now available at level 75 with a rebalance of the difficulty and time they take to complete. Along with those changes, loot drops have been increased in all Uprisings. You will find more information about those changes here: Welcome to the 6.2.1 PTS!

Below you can find the type of feedback that the team is looking for:
  • Do you feel if the Uprisings are content worth doing?
  • Do you think that any of them seem more difficult/annoying than others enough that you would avoid them?
Let us know your thoughts below.

Hey everyone!

So there are a couple of things at play here that I will try to explain. First off, let's start with specific patch note from Game Update 6.2:

"The sound effect of the following items will now be correctly played:
  • Basilisk War Mount
  • Hoverturret Devastator
  • Payday Blaster Pistol
  • Amban JP Blaster Rifle
  • Sienar Drexl Mount
  • Desert Mudhorn Mount"

This was only an internal bug, not something that was ever live. In some of our internal environments certain audio effects were not working, so this internal bug report was created to flag and fix that. Unfortunately this got added in with our actual patch notes for live changes. We have now removed this errant patch note.

Coincidentally, at the same time an actual bug appeared for the Payday Blaster Pistol, changing its audio. These two events happening at once made it look like this w... Read more

Hey everyone!

We love that this was created and appreciate what Discord communities are capable of, but we want to encourage the use of the forums. Encouraging community members to go off of our platform at the top of the General Discussion Forum does not match that goal. While this isnt something we will sticky, we dont have an issue with the thread existing in general. Additionally, a post like this is better suited for the Community Content Forum.

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to post a reminder that this week's Conquest is ending earlier according to our timing changes introduced with Game Update 6.2. From this point on, Conquests will now end at 11:00am GMT with the next Conquest beginning a hour later at 12:00pm GMT.

Hey Xxytome,

The "Shroud of Memory" unlock was temporarily removed from the Cartel Market. Recently a bug appeared during one of its cinematics which blocked players from progressing through the Chapter, so the team decided to temporarily remove it from the storefront. This is an issue we'll be addressing with tomorrow's maintenance. While the unlock may not back up on the Cartel Market the second maintenance is over, you can rest assured it'll be back up soon!

Hey LtGeneralGezlin!

When I make the standard "Game Update 6.2 is live!" forum post that links to the launch article, I will also include a schedule for any planned YouTube videos. In the case of Game Update 6.2, we have two music tracks that will be added following its release. For future updates I'll carry that template going forward, so at a quick glance you can know if we have any planned YouTube releases around a specific update.

As for future plans to add other current music or providing direct downloads to tracks, that is something the team will look into.

Very fair question, which I have talked over with the team. With regards to why Pirate Incursion is occurring twice this month while Gree and Bounty Contract Week are not happening, it's because we wanted to highlight our newer events more around the general holiday window.

For us Conquests can fall into two categories - ones tied to specific in-game events (EX. Pirate Incursion) and ones that are standalone (EX. Flashpoint Havoc). The in-game event schedule is something the team has more of a manual touch on, meanwhile the Conquests that fall between the in-game events are randomly determined. While it's easy for us to pull up the in-game event schedule to communicate it broadly at the beginning of every month, that really isn't the case for the non-event Conquests, which is why we never folded those in to the outward facing article/page updates.

We really appreciate the constructive feedback around around certain in-game events appearing more than others and we'... Read more
