Last year we gave Factional Warfare a substantial update as part of the Uprising expansion, and Viridian gave groups in the warzone new tools to earn income and motivate their pilots. We’ve been closely monitoring the Factional Warfare ecosystem as it sought out a new equilibrium, both by examining data and contextualizing through the amazing feedback EVE’s dedicated FW communities have continually provided.

Resulting from these observations and feedback, this year's August release introduces several improvements and adjustments to this passionately-engaged area of gameplay aimed at correcting imbalances and improving entertainment and engagement for all capsuleers in the Warzone!

We are hugely excited to announce a collaboration between CCP Games and Titan Forge, a miniature sculpting studio and board game publisher, to create a board game adaptation of EVE Online! This board game project welcomes fans and newcomers, bringing New Eden’s signature space exploration, player-driven narratives, and strategic warfare to tabletops.

The Kickstarter pre-launch page for the EVE Online board game is now live for you to sign up and follow the project’s progress until the campaign kicks off in Q4 2023, following planned demos of the game at EVE Fanfest 2023 on 21-23 September in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Effective immediately "Abyssal Tunneling" using filaments is an exploit.

This means that if you deliberately use a filament in System A during cluster shutdown to create a warp tunnel kick-out, and then deliberately use the same mechanic in a System B at a different downtime - just to get returned to System A - then you are intentionally using this exploit. This is an unintended mechanic of getting kicked out of a filament warp tunnel exactly when downtime hits.

As pilots continue to feverishly seek out and piece together Guristas design data, reports of fragmentary ship designs now being recovered from high-ranking Angel Cartel operatives illustrate an ongoing high-priority Salvation Angels initiative concurrent with Guristas efforts already underway.

Given the equal parts played by these underworld elements in the Guri Malakim raids this past May which saw the extraction of ancient data and technology from derelict Jove Observatories across the cluster, there can be little question that some manner of shared ambition has compelled the Guristas and the Cartel to pursue new designs.

But as more and more fragments fall into place, the seeming indifference of either organization to the revelation of what would typically be highly classified R&D increasingly suggests a deprioritization of security in favor of rapid development, leading many to wonder: just what could lead pirate faction...

In a statement to the Interstellar Gaming Commission, President Celes Aguard proudly announced some changes to the Alliance Tournament structure, focusing on a very egalitarian format.
