Hey Captains!

We are happy to announce the Anchors Away Tour 2019!

This tour is going to span 10 months, 9 states, a visit to our neighbors in the north and both coasts!

Its been a few months since we announced and launched the 2019 (and slightly 2020) Anchors Away Tour, since then we've had two fully sold out events and coming up on having our third event this weekend in July. We've met over 700 players across these two events and excited to meet many more at upcoming future events. Here are some facts about the tour you may not know, so far:

Over 700 swag bags handed out.

Over 100 premium ship codes given away

3 Signed Tour Posters, 4 Cobi Block kits and 4 Corsair products given away as part of the Major prize drawings.

4 Missouri's found as part of the epic hunt.

4 CC's in attendance.

Over 50 im...

I'm sorry KiyoSenkan, but you are drastically wrong in many of these conclusions. Let me address some of your statements:

We don't care what players want or how reasoned their debate on the subject:

We do care about player sentiment on various matters. We have community teams in each region whose main role is to document, summarize, and present player feedback and sentiment. While yes, players do pose interesting solutions to perceived problems, they often are doing this based off incomplete information/data or feelings alone. While we have access to considerably more data which is not possible to present to the community in an understandable manner, we are able to see contradictions/issues with player suggestions. While we'd love to share our data bases of information to the wider player base it would open the door to further misunderstandings and subjective viewing of data.

We like losing money by spending our time on premiums nob...

Heyo Captains,

While +/- 1 MM is a commonly brought up suggestion by players we have no such plans in the near future to test or implement this request. While it is a popular topic, its implementation would bring tons of pluses, minuses and unknown for all the game aspects - for balance, community, monetization and so on.

The fact we're not planning to introduce +/-1 MM doesn't mean that we're not improving and optimizing matchmaking as a whole. We've heard your complaints and recognise one of the most painful spots is the 8th tier, which meets 10th too often - we are looking at ways to address this. In update 0.7.11 we improved matchmaking for 8-10 tiers by some margin and we're planning to continue improving it (of course not forgetting other tiers).

Keep an eye out for Dev Blogs, Dev Bulletins, and Patch notes for information any upcoming changes.

Captains and Commanders! Do I have a challenge for you!

We all have our favorite ships, and for these ships we may have particular tips that go with them, so....

I would like to put forth a challenge to the community to bring me your best tip for your favorite ship!

Between the 8th 12:00 UTC and 15th 12:00 UTC of July, construct a game play tip for one of your favorite ships and reply to this thread like so:

Example: Fem's Favorite the Perth:

The Perth has a unique smoke that will move along with you if you're travel at quarter (1/4) speed! Make sure you slow down before deploying it to ensure you remain concealed.

Heyo Captains,

I would like to notion that that particular clip was taken extremely out of context. While my phrasing wasn’t perfect by any means (complaining was not the right word), throughout the stream (which is a personal stream and not related to an official stream) I stated that it is WIP and we are receiving and assessing player feedback.

The community staff across the various platforms: forums, Reddit, social media, Dev blogs, etc are documenting player feedback and addressing it with the appropriate teams.

Heyo Captains,

Here is the videos some of you are referring to:

As many have mentioned, smoke works in a two way system.

From your description it sounds like the situation was like this:

In this scenario, since your ally is spotting the red BB, you are also able to see him and fire at him.

When you ally gets killed, this removes the spotting:

Sorry, standard was maybe the wrong use of words in this case. Typically the metric has been EXP, this what I meant.

Heyo Captains,

We would like to assure you we're not in a state of panic, we are merely trying a new idea of Naval Battles, similar to what we did when we briefly changed it to damage a short while ago.

This change will only be active for 2 weeks (July 1st-15th) and is to encourage variety in gameplay. At the end of this period, it will revert to the standard EXP metric.

We appreciate your feedback concerning some of the slower shooting ships (BBs for example) it is something we will access at the end of the period ahead of potentially using this metric again in this method.

The requirements are the same between the two systems.

Training Battles refer to battles within the training room, which have always been excluded from these sorts of things.

There is not a trackers for the number of battles a recruit has achieved however could be easily tracked via the account summary and total of games played.

Heyo!

So there are several ways to filter sections within the forums, you can find the organiser in the main subject area:

Captains and Commanders! Do I have a challenge for you!

There are a new band of Savage ships out sailing the seas this update, luckily they're confined to Savage battles but that doesn't mean you can't be savage in the other game modes...

I would like to put forth a challenge to the community to bring me game where you savagely sink 2 or more enemy ships!

Between the 1st 12:00 UTC and 8st 12:00 UTC of July, play any ship in a Random / Scenario / Co-op / Savage obtain at least 2 kills and post battle screen in reply to this thread like so:

PRIZES:

Five randomly selected players will receive:
1 x Premium Rogue Wave Container

BONUS ROUND:

Anyone who submits a valid entry within the period will receive 5 Post-Apocalypse camos

OP stated this was occurring to them on a MAC Client :)

Heyo Captains,

This is more of a general discussion matter than Support, therefore I have moved this thread into General discussion.

We have not touched the rates of which weather occurs since inception, personally I enjoy them as they add another variation into the style of game play and another skill to develop. Given the situation you described, I'm curious about your positioning if you found yourself in that situation (surrounded by 5 ships). Do you use "Last known Positions" on your minimap to help track where enemy ships are? This is a great tool that can help in cyclones.

What is everyone tips and tricks for playing in weather conditions?
